Selling figures makes me feel bad

Posted under Figures & Life & Ranting

But I’m doing it! I’m selling off a few of my figures. They are practically new so, I have no problem claiming new on eBay! ;) But truthfully I hate these figures. I really only bought them because at the time I had tons of money, and I wanted to be like “oh look what I have!!” the best way to describe it is the way I said it to Shawn (the boyfriend.)

Dancing Queen says:

I just bought them because I had tons of moneys and I felt that I’d be cool if I had them.

Dancing Queen says:

now I realize I’m just an idiot for buying them just to say I have them

Dancing Queen says:

and not shopping around and getting good figures

Dancing Queen says:

it’s like the people who buy hummers

Dancing Queen says:

yeah they are big, pointless, ugly, and are a waste of money

Dancing Queen says:

but they think they are cool because they have one and you don’t

I only bought them in the beginning because I wanted Haruhi Figures. So I went with the first ones that came out, then regretfully Max Factory came out with their own and topped the figures I now have. I’ve come to hate them more and more and I don’t want them. They are overpriced, bulky and the paint job on them is pretty bad. They look out of place in my collection, I’d rather have a collection of quality figures than a large collection of expensive shitty ones.

Here are the figures i’m selling

1/6 Asahina Mikuru Red Bunny PVC

She’s pretty ugly more I see her, the paint job is pretty bad. The fit on her bunny suit doesn’t even look right. Plus her face is really poorly painted.

1/6 Haruhi Suzumiya Black Bunny PVC

Same for her as for Mikuru, bad pose, crappy paint job, and far too bulky.

I bought these next two on impulse in a store, they weren’t cheap either I just had to have them for some reason. Now if I go into a store I go knowing what I want and the prices of everything that I may want so I don’t pay too much.

1/6 Teresa Testarossa Race Queen Yellow

I hate figures that aren’t dressed in a way they they would normally dress in the series. Fans of FMP would know that Tessa would never dress in such a revealing outfit.

SOS Team Cosplay Collection

Shitty, Shitty, Shitty and more shitty. The only word I can use to describe this set. The paint job is bad, plus the pom poms are far to heavy and they make Haruhi lean pretty badly. I fixed her but I hate dealing with it. So they are already packed away nicely!

I guess it really only makes me feel bad cause i think, “what if the figures had hearts? They’d feel pretty bad since I don’t want them because some other figure came along that was prettier than them.”

Crap figures have no hearts. eBay away! Out of all my figures there are probably only 2 or 3 that I’m not particularly fond of… but they sit at the bottom of my case.

I tend to buy figures from series i’ve completed. I always wondered what they where thinking when they made that Teresa.

BTW, i’ve finally put up pictures of all my figs!

The only figures I’d sell would be my duplicates xD I don’t think that haruhi looks too bad, but then I’m looking at pictures.
