Posted under Figures

Just check the Hobby Stock page of new releases, and to my surprise a new Enma Ai figure is being released. Alter is making this lovely figure and I’ve seen lots of good things from this company. The promo shots or amazing and I love how the figure really looks right. She looks like they just grabbed her from the show.

As you can see from this scan I grabbed, the pose is like they just grabbed it from this shot. I’ve always loved figures like that, that way you can actually see where they got their inspiration from. She’s due out May ‘08, so once she’s on HLJ I’ll be pre-ordering her. Plus with hobby stock listing her at 4,284 yen, i’ll expect it to be a bit higher but not too bad for my meager budget, and with her release being towards May I should have a job by then and should be able to afford her!
Some more promo shots!

Also i do this often but i compare figures often and i must say this figure is so much better than the Happinet Enma Ai PVC. The alter one is smaller but the detail in comparison is amazing. The happinet one doesn’t even look like the character. She looks too long, and her face is not right at all, instead of her eyes being mysterious she just looks like she had a bad hangover.

Plus with being a 1/6 scale i think she would be a little too big for my taste.

The Happinet pose looks a lot better, but you’re right the character design is off. I like Enma Ai, but not enough to order this one.
Good job by Alter though, but then again, I expect no less.

May 2008? It’s now October 2008 and it looks like the edition is sold out most anywhere I look. Where else might it be available? I can’t read the Hobby Stock web site (I can’t read Japanese!). Thanks~
