How a Girl Figures

As some of you may know my #1 supplier of figures has been HLJ for quite some time now. Well with the fact that I’ve been broke as of late I’ve been looking for a way to push back some of my pre-orders and it’s been kid nemo to the rescue! Now what I love about HLJ is that the moment the figure is released I have it within a week. I always, ALWAYS get EMS shipping for figures. I’m not about to pay so much money for my figures for them to get lost in the mail (my local post office is the worst, and they have lost so many of my packages it’s not even funny.) Well with Kid Nemo what I’ve noticed is they get their merchandise a bit behind HLJ does. I’m assuming it’s the fact that they have to ship it to the US first then ship it out to the customers since Kid Nemo is a California based company. Well this honestly benefits me since not only do I save on shipping it gives me more time to scrounge up the cash for certain expensive figure orders I may have.

So I’ve done a few outdoor photo shoots with my figures but never anywhere out in the open to the public. I’ve been dying to go out and do one in an open spot, this is my collection and my hobby i shouldn’t be ashamed to go outside and take pictures! So I decided to take some of my swimsuit figures to the beach!

I’ve decided that I’m going for it! I need a display case for my figures. At the moment I’m using my bookcases to display my figures. But lately I really want a display case. I think since everything is going well with this job at the moment I’ll get it next month since I happen to have no figures pre-ordered for April.

Thanks HLJ, you know just the right time to ship my orders. With the last 5 orders from HLJ, they get pushed back or backordered so i don’t expect them for a few weeks, and then BOOM! They ship my item, and leave me flat broke. Once again HLJ strikes again! Not their fault honestly, it’s my own since I had the money for Makoto but I spent it. Not needlessly at least, on important things, like scrubs for work, gas, food, cheap manga, ect. (okay so maybe cheap manga isn’t a necessity but it was cheap!)

So as i’m sitting here at my computer wondering how i’m going to live on $12 for two weeks I get the e-mail, that HLJ has shipped my order! How? I don’t have money on that card!! But it’s on my bank card so they can charge as much as they want, my lovely bank will accept it and then just give me overcharge fees >_< . So it was a race against time, I ran and checked the balance on all my credit cards, and put what I could on my paypal, then ran to the bank, withdrew the money and put it into my bank. So now I actually have more money since all my credit cards are maxed out :(. But at least now I get my Makoto and gas until I get paid!
