Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Making a budget!

While as I mentioned already that there aren’t as many figures that I’ve been dying for, it’s been much easier to save money. I also notice that with this having extra money each month I end up spending it anyways. So now I’m made me a budget!

It’s going to be hard! It’s going to kill me most likely! But I can do it! Massugu GO! I have a horrible spending habit, I tend to see I have money and then decide that I don’t want to eat anything I have in the fridge, and then I go and eat out and spend $20-$30. That’s money that I could have saved and put towards a figure! Last weekend me and my boyfriend went to a car show in the parking lot of Knott’s berry farm. While the car show was free, the temptation to go to Knott’s was killing me. I love roller coasters! I LOVE THEM! But my boyfriend has acid reflux and he can’t go on roller coasters, and I don’t go on them alone.

It would have cost us $60 to go in but my boyfriend convinced me not to go once he said the magic words. “That’s the price of one figure! Are you sure you want to blow it all on a theme park we won’t enjoy?” He was right, and I saved me $60. But then I quickly spent more money during the day on $3 Ice Cream, a $4 Strawberry smoothie and a $3 sandwich. Now $10 doesn’t sound like much, but when I add that up, $10 here, $10 there, it starts to become $20 here and $20 there. By the time I notice I’m already in the red for the next week or two.

With making this budget I’m leaving myself plenty of money for gas and bills, and I’m going to save the rest. I have no point in buying lunch at work even if the hospital cafeteria food is super cheap. I can bring a sandwich with me. No need to go out and eat when my mom always has the kitchen fully stocked with plenty of food. I have a freaking Disneyland Annual Passport! I don’t have to spend $60 to go to Knott’s when I can go to Disneyland for Free!!!

After I made my deductions from my current money I have $104 to save until my next paycheck! Then from there I’m going to grab my total and do the same, budget it out for only the bare minimum. Then the rest will be put towards my figure orders starting in July, this way I hopefully won’t be in the red for the next couple of months, and I’ll be able to pay off credit card bills much faster.

    Making a budget is too difficult for me since I go under the motto of buy now and regret later. It’s actually quite terrible as there have been times when I overspent and ended up not eating all that much since other things such as bills come through. Once when I was working at a supermarket as a nightfiller, saving for Japan was the only time I ever really made a budget and I ended up actually losing a lot of weight due to not eating, lol. Luckily I gained most of it back after my Japan trip.

    Though now I have a steady job it’s all pretty much the same but I manage my money better now.

  2. I don’t blame you for wanting to go to Knotts. It’s like one of the best places ever.
    Good luck with budget keeping. 🙂

    Since you are not as broke as I am, maybe you can come over and have sushi with us… *hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

    @adun:
    while i have a “steady job” the income varies from time to time. I work hourly and commission combined. Lately i’ve been selling really well so i want to save up the extra moneys i’ll be getting, but when i worked at Sears my income was ultra steady so i always knew what to expect each month and it was much easier to impulse shop then.

    @coco the bean:
    Knotts is totally awesome! have you gone to knotts scary farm during October? It’s so awesome! I had the crap scared outta me so many times it’s crazy!!!

    @DJ Tama:
    i making a budget cause i’m so broke… Maybe once i’m much more caught up in bills we’ll go to sushi, for now i’m flat broke…

    I haven’t, unfortunately. I’m going to try to make it this year though.

    Budgets are hard, especially if you have a lot of interests. Between Manga, Anime, music, figures, games, and books (not to mention college), my poor wallet weeps some weeks. I’ve been trying to maintain a budget since New years, with varying degrees of success. Right now, I’d spend over $100 on Amazon and Play-Asia if I knew my mom wouldn’t ever see the packages. She hates it when I have a bunch of boxes arrive at the house (and this last week I already received 5 different packages thanks to partial shipments).

    Ganabare!
