Ya I know what you mean. When I first got into anime, I thought everything was like Dragon Ball Z and Ninja Scroll. Stylized action and blood. Then I watched Ah My Goddess and discovered I can be emotionally attached to characters too. Belldandy is still my #1 anime love. I love Yomiko cuz I can see her as a really good friend.

$20? I’m quite jealous. I’ve been doing the same thing as you, searching for her but disgusted by the prices people are asking for her. I really love Yomiko, watching Read or Die was a big turning point in anime for me. After seeing it I decided I needed to be more open minded and absorb many different series. I guess you could say it’s what inspried me to pull away from being a “Magical Girl Anime” exclusive fan.

I have the cold cast version of her. I still love her for the series, character, and the design. Picked her up at Fanime 2003. Paid a bit too much for her, but OMG was she worth it.
I also notice how the quality and quantity of anime figures have improved over the years. Probably thanks to the growing number of figure collectors.

saw this figurine few times in local figurine shop. Old figurine I don’t really like the quality of this figurine tho, same like other old figurines, they have the glossy plastic feel on it

oh i always check when i start watching a new series, if there are any figures out there for the characters

there usually are sometimes, my luck i’ve found mostly within the Us but they are always willing to ship overseas

at first i was only going to use white paper, but i decided to use newspaper clippings as well, i’m just so glad everyone liked it!

oh it’s a good series and worth checking out, now there is the TV and the OVA, watch the OVA first then the TV some people don’t like the TV and prefer the OVA but i liked both really

She looks cool. I like figurines that look like they’re in motion.

I watched the first 20 minutes of R.O.D. this past summer and I liked it so far. I’ll try to rent it on DVD if I can find it.
