For a while it seemed that figure companies weren’t releasing anything new and interesting, but for the past few months they have been continuously announcing these amazing and stunning figures. Yet sadly their prices keep going up, and up and up. Plus with the economy there is going to be a point were figures might be too expensive for even me to afford!
For now this means i do have to be a bit more selective with some figures but for sure Black Rock Shooter here has to be in my collection.
She just looks so amazingly awesome and epic.
those scars are so polar opposite of what I’m used to seeing in figures with perfect skin, that those scars are so strange but look great.
Her eyes are so awesome and I love how beautifully blue her eyes are.
Here is the original artwork she’s from, so beautiful and makes me wish I had a high res version of this image just to hang up beside her once i do finally get her in my collection. Now she’s pretty pricey at 9,800 yen but when you look at the detail not only on her but her gun, and her base it’s obvious as to why she’s going to cost so much, yet this means that in August I’ll have to be very selective that month on figures or i won’t be able to afford this beautiful figure.

That figure is too gorgeous! I love the base, the hair and the jacket the most, but everything else is pretty much just amazing as well! Though, with a high price like that, I don’t think I’ll be buying sadly…

Awesome, definitely an instant-get. They remained true to the artwork. (Saves pictures). I hope those chains are included, but I think you have to buy a few on your own.
“Black Rock Shooter” isn’t an anime, is it? When I google it up I find a lot Vocaloid/Miku :/.

She’s one of those figures that takes your breath away the moment you see her. I think the price is pretty fair considering all the details, but it’s still way high. I’d have to sell my organs or something. ;__;

Hirvine: Indeed, this is Hatsune Miku. Most people call this Miku’s dark side. I have no idea what triggers it, or even if this is a twin, but that’s what comes up when I serched Miku on Google.

From the moment she was announced at WonHobby(?) a few weeks ago, this became the must-have PVC of the year, period. I’ll still get her despite the price. This looks too incredible to pass up.

Oohh, have to pre-order this one, been actually looking for the name of this one for awhile and I couldn’t figure it out.

Zatsune Miku is more like Hatsune’s “dark side” though it’s basically an alternate color.

Such an intense/awesome looking figure but I decline, GSC is starting to get a bit out of hand with their pricing on certain figures. They’re only getting $100+ from me on Saber Lily, nothing else at this point.

I do agree with the GSC price spike is definitely bad news. And yet BRS and Saber Lily are too difficult to pass up. I have to be very very selective on my future purchase as these two already can buy at least 3-4 scaled figures. T.T

A brief history of BRS video: The music video is based on original artwork by huke, who also did the original art for the video. Song is done by ryo (of supercell), who’s done some very popular Miku songs like Melt, Love is War, and others. Ryo noticed the artwork and decided to make a song based on them and collaborated with huke to make the music video. The popularity of BRS went from there. Whether BRS is based on Miku or not is up to conjecture especially considering the number of other twintail-haired girls out there in the Japanese 2D media.
BTW, nice site and yes, I do plan to get the BRS figure as well.
