Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Movic Space Yoko, #14

Flickr Link

Of course #14 in my quest to own all the Yoko figures I can possibly get my hands on. The Lovely Movic Space Yoko, typical Movic quality, strange body proportions, paint splotches, weird seam lines. Really the only redeeming feature on this figure isn’t even the figure herself but the Bike she’s on.

Flickr Link

Her face is a bit weird but tolerable, even her hand on the bike is awkwardly placed.

Flickr Link

Love the face on the bike, great details there. Even the Vehicles in GL are GAR!

Flickr Link

The Stickers are a bit confusing and there aren’t any instructions on placement, i got the sticker placement from the original image the figure is based on.

At least the figure is true to the image, except on how she is facing the wrong way.

Flickr Link

Love this bike, now if only any other figure fit well on it…

Flickr Link

Her butt’s shape is also kinda weird, but then how often do figure companies get the female anatomy correct?

Flickr Link

I very much dislike her boobs shape here but then as a friend pointed out it’s how they are in the original design so who am i to complain

Flickr Link

Star boobs?

Flickr Link

Flickr Link

The Cape is removable, but she looks better with the cape.

Flickr Link

Love the Star Tattoo on her arms.

Flickr Link

The boots are pretty badass as well.

Flickr Link

Can’t express in words how much i love this bike!

Flickr Link

This is for sure another figure i would never had bothered getting if it were another character. The price was outrageous and for such a mediocre figure it’s highway robbery to charge to much. Plus she’s not a 1/5 at all, more like a mix between 1/8 and 1/7 if you honestly ask me. however with all my complaints i still love her, with my all complaints i still love this figure since it’s Yoko. I have to admit I’m fully 100% biased with these types of figures, but i can honestly say that if you are a yokofancitc like i am then go ahead and get her, the bike alone is worth it. If you are just a casual fan there are much better Yoko figures out there. Such as the Lovely Gift Yoko and the Stunning Alter Yomako Sensei.

I was thinking about getting this figure, but since I’m not a Yoko fan as much as you are, I don’t think I will. None the less, it’s a good concept. If only the figure was made better.

One thing I do like about Yoko figures is that they usually construct her boobs like real boobs are.

    • Dancing Queen says:

that is true, her boobs would do that if she stood in that position, yet they still look very awkward

  2. woooh~! Despite the anatomically incorrectness, she’s incredibly sexy. セクシーですね!

  3. Raine says:

Weird question but, since you mentioned cosplay and this is another Yoko figure post, I was wondering if you’ve cosplayed as Yoko yet?

    • Dancing Queen says:

no i haven’t and i honestly doubt i will, i have to admit i’m a bit critical of cosplayers and i know how critical others can get and people lately have been most critical of Yoko cosplayers and i even don’t think i’d do her justice… now Nia i might try and do at a future date but that’s up in the air for now 😉

  4. Wow, that is expensive. Although Yoko does look a bit plain, the bike is indeed cool ^^ Good job on the decals.
If I were to get a Yoko figure, I think it would be the Gift Yoko. I’m sad I missed it at the last HLJ sale 🙁

Huh? You had to apply the stickers manually? O.o

But yeah, fairly subpar figure, but that bike is worth dying for!

Ok this might sound really strange but does else think that this figure looks anorexic the way its collar bone and ribs stick out it looks really bad

    Nice review there again 🙂
Do you have plans on getting the Yoko real image version?
I’m not a fan of it, she looks like a 40 year old woman and not a 14 year old girl.
Good luck with your army ^0^

    • Dancing Queen says:

i do, the only thing i don’t like about that figure are the eyes, and she comes with the sunglasses that covers that so problem solved!

  8. Leonia says:

Nice shooting ! This Yoko’version is original ^^

thanks, i was considering an outdoor shoot but couldn’t think of a proper setting anywhere around here

  9. Arelym says:

I really love the original design, however I’ve always had one major question about it. Why does a hover-scooter need suspension? It’s always bugged me for some reason, lol.

    • Dancing Queen says:

lol never thought of that, maybe when they invent hover scooters we’ll find out then if they need it or now

  10. Kanon says:

I agree, her yokoppai look strange, but it IS like the original image. Guess it just doesn’t translate well in figure form. I like the scooter though! ^^

    • Dancing Queen says:

the bike is the best part, which is kinda sad considering the price they could have made her look better

  11. Electricv01 says:

The original picture, her face seems to be a bit more on the mischievous side with her expression, and I don’t think they captured that at all in the sculpt. Boooo..

  12. meronpan says:

    you’re definitely the queen of yoko figures. and here i am worrying about whether or not i should buy a 3rd yoko ^^;;

neat concept for a figure, though given that price it’s too bad they didn’t execute it better. seems like they used the bike as an excuse to jack up the price.

meronpans last blog post..One Year and 100k! (almost ^^;)

    • Dancing Queen says:

yeah they most likely did use the bike to jack it up higher, in all honesty if they sold the bike by itself i would have bought that

  13. lovelyduckie says:

Oh man I hate Yoko’s space outfit, I can’t imagine any figure company will be able to make a figure of her in that outfit that I’ll like. Still love Yoko though and will fully support her in all her other outfits 🙂

  14. LEon says:

Great review! You have a good looking site here.

Regarding the figure, comparing the drawing with the figure, I find that the stickers are some what in faulty design in sizes and some details. They could do better research QC of how the stickers was suppose to be when stick on. I wonder why they don’t pre-stick in the package and allow customers to paste it themselves without instruction…

Btw I’m going to link you on my blog link. 😀

  15. Flip says:

so any tips on figure photography?

  16. Hmm…if memory serves me right, this Yoko was done by Polygonia…who was also responsible for Movic’s other Yoko PVC that you reviews already. Polygonia’s Yokos have weird bodies…considering how awesome the original artwork was (I’ve got the Yoko Portraits Book), it’s a shame to see the figure end up so mediocre.

    • Dancing Queen says:

i have the art books as well and it’s sad that they weren’t able to translate such an awesome image into PVC form well enough

  17. Blowfish says:

Never been a fan of her space outfit and Im not that Yoko crazy so ill pass her.SO you had to apply those stickers yourself?I thought it would come ready to display

    • Dancing Queen says:

it would make more sense to have the stickers on the bike already but they were lazy i guess

  18. coffeebugg says:

Just wanted to give you a heads up, Dollfie Yoko’s going up for sale according to this blog.

Still reeling from my Last dollfie purchase, but seeing how much you’re into Yoko, you might want to give it a shot, 😀

  19. Adam says:

I’m sort of a Yoko Fantatic as well I suppose. But the only figures of her that attract me are those that are well proportioned and has a decent likeness. I’m still waiting on Gift Yoko 🙁

  20. Jamblee~ says:

Hello! The poster which the figure is based on was drawn by Sadamoto. The face on the Gunbee’s been changed to resamble King Kittans face. He’s Yoko/Kittan fan apparently lol(do not approves). Anyway ther’s a really sweet resign kit with the very same bike (even better I might say) with the original face but w/out the stickers. And of course a beautifully sculped adult Yoko with sleek and sexy body and spunky enticing look on her face (love her lips). She’s wearing her second outfit. OMG I’m sorry for all the gushing, I just love it so much I might get it myself and build it even though I have no major experience in resighn kits:) Maybe you should get it and build it >< or order someone to do it^^ and then post some beautifull pictures of it! 😀
    PS. GREAT COLLECTION!

    • Dancing Queen says:

i would love them to make a pvc of the figure of Time Skip Yoko with the jacket on the bike! that would be awesome
