Freeing 1/8 Nagi

The Lovely Freeing Nagi from Kannagi Crazy Shrine Maidens. This is my first Freeing figure and I’m not disappointed. She’s quite lovely and very well made. Provided by the wonderful people at beNippon, amazing service, fast shipping and good prices. check them out for sure!

I do have to say i’m quite happy with how these shots came out, been a while since i did an Indoor shoot that I was 100% happy with. Really any fans of the series should own this adorable figure and while there is only one flaw with her hair it’s not noticeable at all and really doesn’t take anything away from this gorgeous figure. She’s also cast off and you can remove her skirt, but i didn’t really like her skirt less so i didn’t do any shots of her that way.

Her face looks a bit off, probably not a buy for me. Thanks for the review.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

it’s a bit off but not that bad imo

Hey, another Nagi fan ^^ I bought the figure a few weeks back as well. Seemed to be the best Nagi figure currently available though I thought she could have been better.

Looks like a manual WB setting might have helped. The colors on some of the photos are inconsistent. Nice background, by the way :) It looks great when blurred as in http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3308/3648000647_8da52c0931.jpg

yeah i only noticed halfway through that someone messed with my WB, but i still liked the first few pics, and that pic is my favorite of the set

I must say, although the rest of her looks awesome, that face just doesn’t quite look like Nagi’s to me. Something about the eyes, I think.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

yeah the eyes are what set it off, but then it’s the best of all the Nagi figures out there

Great photos! This Nagi’s face is a little off, yeah, but it’s still a great figure! It’s NAGI! ^^

Nice shoot. This Nagi version is good, but I don’t know the character ^^’. The background is funny ^^

    Dancing Queen Reply:

i thought the background was interesting since everyone was doing outdoor shots and i thought of more of a concert feeling

I pre-ordered this from Kid Nemo a long time ago, but they failed to ever get it for me. Seems to be the usual story with them now.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

i’d say e-ail them and see if they plan on getting her any time soon, they do tend to get their figures months after everyone else

    Michael Reply:

Eh – they replied today and said they were canceling all Freeing Nagi figure orders.

Now I’m really getting worried that they will mess up the Good Smile Saber Lilly, that would be a disaster. I pre-ordered it the day it was announced. That’s the one figure I really don’t want to miss.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

i’d run and order the saber lily anywhere else, i highly doubt kid nemo will get her in stock

    the background hurts my eyessss.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

    but it’s so pretty!

    Flip Reply:

yeah, but my eyes have a tendency to focus on every speckle and that in turn makes it all weird for me. Not saying that it’s not a good background, my eyes just suck :p

    Dancing Queen Reply:

    oh ok that’s understandable

Hur hur, I am pretty strict in terms of accuracy of how they are suppose to look in anime/manga. Face is probably easily noticeable part next to body proportion. This one is definitely no go, better settle with Nendoroid Nagi-sama at least until better one is out in the future.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

i’m getting the nendoroid as well, she’s so cute!

I ended up going for the Clayz Nagi. But I’m expecting another company to release a great figure of her (peeks at Good Smile/Max Factory/Alter). My reason for not getting the FREEing one is the same as the majority of the comments (the face). In your pics though the face doesn’t look as bad as I was thinking it was. If for some reason this figure goes on sale (peeks at HLJ)then I’ll get her. I think that so far FREEing’s best work is still their Haruhi bunny set.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

oh wow that clayz nagi looks worse than this nagi!

Lovely Nagi figure~! I think I agree with everyone and say there’s something a little bit off with the face… Getting Nendoroid Nagi in the mail sometime soon though~ *~*

    Dancing Queen Reply:

she’s a cute nendo, can’t wait till i get mine

OHH, Nice shoot! Good idea this spangled background. It makes think of the spangles of the magic stick.
