Alpha Tetsuo Review

I'm a huge fan of Akira, and when I first started collecting figures one of the first figures I got was Alpha's Kaneda. The one of him sitting on the red chair. Ever since I got him I wanted the Tetsuo to match, but haven't had the chance to get him. I spotted him once at a con for $40 which wasn't a… [more]

KyoAni’s Nagato Yuki Review

Kyo-Ani's first step into making anime figures was such a lovely success. When Yuki was first announced I was apprehensive on getting her since Kyo-ani never made any figures before. It seems from their recent releases of K-on figures that this first beautiful release was a fluke since those suck,… [more]

Lighting in Tucson

Maybe if you live in Tuscon, Arizona this is normal. But last night when we finally got back into the US after a very long and tiring drive through Mexico, we encountered a very powerful storm that had pounding rain and tons of awesome lighting! I did my best to take pictures of all the lighting but didn’t get all the lighting but did get two awesome shots. This first one being the best of the two!

Just wanted to also let everyone know that i’m alive and well. I know you’ve all missed me, it’s been a little while since i’ve posted anything for you wonderful people! I’ve got tons of figure reviews on the backlog from figures I got at Anime Expo, Comic Con and my regular figures coming in. So expect tons more reviews to come! Also a giveaway coming very soon! Turns out a figure that was supposed to be given away at The Indecent Otaku Comdey Hour was left at home… Yes i’m a dumb dumb! So we’ll be having an online giveaway for those of you who weren’t able to make it to the show! Also expect pics from this last trip to Mexico, mainly personal pictures but some amazing scenery shots that i just have the urge to share with you all!

  2. LEon says:

You must have taken many shot to get such nice looking one. Not easy. Wow.

  3. bluedrakon says:

Nice shots – especially impressed with the shot and you driving

  4. MrJack says:

Yay Carshots are awesome, not easy to take but If you nail it they are pure awesomeness.

Here is one I want to share with you

Shot this one while driving to camp vacation in france.

Allthough it looks like a sunset its actually a sunrise.

    • Dancing Queen says:

that’s really pretty, i love these kinda shots since they are always so candid since you’re driving

  5. Vanessa says:

Those shots look amazing. I actually like the 2nd picture more than the 1st. The lightling is brighter and looks more defined, plus the way it’s striking by the house reminds me of those old mad scientist chiches. It’s ALIIIIIIIIIIVE!!! *evil laugh*

  6. Eri says:

I hate lightning, especially when I’m driving. So distracting! With my luck, if there was lightning like that in Tennessee, I’d drive in to the river. Awesome pictures!

  7. FMPhoenixHawk says:

You want a good lightning storm, come to Michigan and watch them roll in over Lake Michigan or even just watch over your local lake. Really good stuff.

  8. Gordanham says:

The lightning is awesome during monsoon season. I live in Phoenix and it is the most exciting weather we get besides the occasional hail storm.

  9. Arelym says:

As someone who lives in Tucson, I can confirm that lightning like that is pretty normal. I must say you’re rather lucky/unlucky too because that’s been one of the only storms this monsoon season.

  10. Matteas says:

Awesome shots. I would like to see a stunning storm like that too. I’ve been fascinated by lightnings since childhood.

    • Dancing Queen says:

it does kinda scare me sometimes, but then we never get much lighting so it’s not something i worry about

  11. phossil says:

it seems the lightning were very close

    • Dancing Queen says:

they were pretty close, but not close that we were in any danger

      • Arelym says:

It’s when you hear it and see it at the exact same time, that’s when it’s scary. Never saw anything like that in Los Angeles, but in Tucson it’s a fairly regular occurrence… except for this year, which has been unusually dry. Once again, that was one of maybe three days in the past few months where such shots would have even been possible.

  12. If you want lightning, just come on over to Tampa. I’ve heard several times that this part of Florida is the “lightning capital of the world”. After seeing the storms here, I can believe it.

In addition to lightning, we’re also popular with hurricanes. Gotta love wacky weather.

Very nice pics! Went on vacation once to Grand Canyon and Meteor Crater and saw some cool sky. I think the wide open spaces helps (unlike where I am in LA with all the buildings and smog). My camerawork isn’t so great, but I should prolly put some of my AZ pics up on my Facebook at some point…
