My brother got it when we went to Japan a couple years ago. Although the water drops on it is nice, initially I thought it was excess pvc material on it ^^;;. I think they could have made the face a little less wide though. Ya, figures are resistant to rain though I wouldn't take out a figure out into the rain b/c of the different areas the rain can get into that would be hard to dry, like in between hair or cracks in different areas of the figure.
