Yamato turns it around with Knee Socks

I haven't been a fan of Yamato's work for quite some time. When I first started collecting figures they were more readily available and I owned a few but after I started finding better quality pieces I sold them all since they were so horrible. I haven't bought a Yamato figure in so many years but recently… [more]

Yoko in a Little Moda Dress

One of the awesome things I love about Etsy is fniding other talented people who make amazing things you end up buying. One thing I spotted was this adorable dress for a Dollfie Dream. But Alas since Yoko is such a busty girl it's hard to find outfits that fit her and I almost passed. That was until… [more]

Danny Choo Meetup in Paris

As mentioned in my last post I happened to just have the luck of being in Paris, France when the Danny Choo meet up was happening! Was mentioning on Twitter how my trip to Paris wasn’t going well when Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com mentioned to me of a meet up that was happening in Paris. I just couldn’t miss it especially since this was the best coincidence of all!

He was a really nice guy and it was awesome meeting him, he had lots of really good advice for people wanting to live and work in Japan. He did a nice little talk that my brother recorded as well!

While it was all very good information not only about how he made it in Japan but also good information on how he learned Japanese, it didn’t really apply to anything I personally needed other than the main message of follow your dreams. As I may be very much into this Japanese pop culture with anime, figures, manga and more, I don’t have a goal of living in japan. My goals are different; get married, have a family, become a successful photographer, travel, and just to live my life o the fullest. It was awesome to see someone who has made his dreams come true and that it isn’t an easy road. I know that to make my dream come true it’ll take hard work but I’m willing to put in the hard work it’ll take!

So many awesome people i also met, was awesome meeting Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com. A really nice guy and we had some really nice conversations while we were there as well. He really made me want to go visit more of France, I’ll have to check out Bayonne one of these days! Thanks to James of StudioSushi to setting up the meeting!

very very true! Anime Expo is coming up! My boyfriend also was impressed that you’re a trombone player, he’s a trumpet player and has mentioned that his band could use a trombone player… too bad you live so far away!

it was such a blast! I’m so sad he’s stuck in paris, I’m so lucky that we went home before the whole volcano issue happened.

    • Dancing Queen says:

Coincedence? No, no way! This kind of thing is fate! Being able to meet the legendary Danny is like meeting Kamina, almost. You’re so lucky~

    • Dancing Queen says:

Heck, gonna get to meet Kamina as well! The Orignal Japanese Seiyuu is going to be at Anime Expo this year! Also i could tech. Say i met Kamina already if you counted the English Dub, my friend’s a good friends with Kyle Hebert.

  9. Asian Ed says:

Wow, that’s awesome! I was trying to get on his calendar when I was visiting Tokyo last year (trying to use my Microsoft influence and my friend’s Apple influence) but alas he was too busy. I’m not going to give up though, I’ll try again next time I’m there! :D

My dream is to read a lot of manga amd watch a lot of anime. ALSO to visit Japan for two weeks, I’ve already started saving up. I plan on going within 3 years.

  12. agcpictures says:

    Soooo lucky!

It might be strange to some people but I find him to be such an inspirational person (I was going to say “figure”, but that would’ve been too obvious ^^ ). Hopefully we will all have the type of success he’s found, not measured in dollars but in happiness and lives touched!

(Note to self: learn about this Twitter thing. LOL)

    • Dancing Queen says:

lol, well when he’s done something that mos otaku only dream of it’s obvious that many people will look up at him
