Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

Megahouse Monkey D. Luffy Strong Edition

Monkey D. Luffy, the main character from One Piece, but then that’s obvious! I adore this version of him, seems much more mature even thought I really don’t know much about his character just yet. I guess I’d be safe to assume that he’s older in this version than in the beginning, unless the series sometimes goes back in time…

I might have to say, out of all the figures, there are two I loved the most. Mr. 2 and Monkey here. Something about him exudes badassness. Love the dress shirt with the tie not tied tight.

He’s got a pretty badass gun as well, we all know the big guns make you cool right?

His arm twists around so he can hold the gun or hold his hat.

Nice pants, love the folds in the short and the pants and how it really looks like he’s wearing the clothes.

The hat almost seems awkward on him in this outfit, but then he felt like he was missing something without it.

I also really liked his jacket, didn’t really take many pictures of his jacket sadly. Sometimes I take pictures then later realize in the review that I didn’t get many other shots that would show you more of the detail with this figure. I try and make sure this doesn’t happen but sadly from time to time I slip up. So I guess you’ll have to trust me that Luffy is a really awesome figure. He’s well detailed and if you like this version I’d say get it.

so my guess was right! hehe (that the next figure review will be Monkey D. Luffy lol)
I think it’s the first time I see Luffy without his giant smile. this figure is really nice, I really liked his clothes, especially his awesome jacket.

  2. Jerok says:

He really does look cool with his huge jacket on. And you did a good job making him look ok wearing the hat. I wish they had made some changes so that at least one of their Luffys could wear the hat properly. They could have made a hat that could addapt to the head (like Robins hat) or an extra head with the head acessory (SW Zoro). Another bone I have with this and every other Megahouse Luffy figure is that the face is always a bit off. I love this one the best, but still! He’s the main charater, so I want him to be perfect, and this one is only awesome. ;(

the hat was such a problem getting to sit on his head properly and i couldn’t agree with you more

I like the detail in his clothes like the folds, but the facial expression he has is a little odd and doesn’t seem very Luffy like. He looks really confused for some reason.

This is one of my favorites! Love the serious look for luffy, plus the semi-formal wear, plus the black and red. I’ve got him posed with the gun leaning against his hand and the hat on top of the gun. Hot stuff.

    • Dancing Queen says:

i would have him posed the same way but sadly my sample came with a broken hand so i wasn’t able to pose him that way

Hrm… I do have to say… this Luffy looks strange and odd. Even though this so called ‘Strong Edition’ supposedly make the characters looks much cooler but.. I just dont really know.
I have never seen Luffy with such faces that is probably causing this strangeness.
The only thing that appealing for me is the Large coat and the bigger than body size gun (which almost all Strong Edition have ^^;)

  6. LilSeebs says:

Luffy is one of my favorite Shonen characters of all time, just because he flips from crazy to serious when needed, making him that much cooler.

  7. This figure does look pretty badass, which may be the problem. Luffy certainly has his moments, but 99% of the time he’s not a tough dude. He’s a goofball with a huge grin. Even when in life-threatening situations he’ll just smile and enjoy himself.

The only time Luffy gets serious like this is when his friends are in danger. And trust me, you do NOT want to hurt his friends in front of him. He’s a bit like Rurouni Kenshin: He’s got that lovable goof side, and then there’s the VICIOUS side.

see when you compare it to such series is where i really want to watch this show, the issue is finding time

  8. Jase says:

The detail is great on the figures but I have to agree that there’s something “off” about Luffy’s face. The overall color works great on this version.

  9. Jisu-chan says:

I like the detail on this figure alot. It is really a nice figure

  10. MG says:

I love Luffy’s outfit and the gun. Very nice details.

  11. Yamazaki says:

OMG, this is the best Luffy figure I’ve seen so far. I might consider getting him in the future even though he’s not my ultimate favorite character from One Piece ;A;.

  12. lovelyduckie says:

I’m really happy with this figure of Luffy, I think it compliments the first version of him really well. In the first figure it looks like he is ready to kickass, but there is still a bit od a smile on his face. Then this one is all about the scowl and awesome gun and Captain’s cloak or whatever that thing is.

Although I agree with a lot of the comments above, for Luffy I think I prefer a smile on his face the best. Leave all the frowning in figures to Zoro.

    • Dancing Queen says:

i agree that a smile would be better for the character but for this figure i do think his face works just fine

  13. Fabrice says:

your getting more and more one piece figures i see.
=3 the gun might be a bit to big for him ^^”

  14. animemiz says:

I have my Luffy of this version still in his box, but yep.. god just staring at this version of Luffy, makes me feel like Boa Hancock. Please continue to see the series, will be a project to catch up, but definitely will say that you won’t lose anything… hmm Boa is a wonderful character, and if you don’t want spoilers, I will stay quiet..

Where can I buy that and what’s it’s size?
