Winter Wonfes was this weekend in Japan and with it has some an array of many stunning and wonderful figures! It would take me far too long to list out every figure that has come out, so instead, I bring you a list of my personal favorites, figures I cannot live without! First up, a Sega prize figure… [more]
I'm a huge fan of Akira, and when I first started collecting figures one of the first figures I got was Alpha's Kaneda. The one of him sitting on the red chair. Ever since I got him I wanted the Tetsuo to match, but haven't had the chance to get him. I spotted him once at a con for $40 which wasn't a… [more]

Kyo-Ani's first step into making anime figures was such a lovely success. When Yuki was first announced I was apprehensive on getting her since Kyo-ani never made any figures before. It seems from their recent releases of K-on figures that this first beautiful release was a fluke since those suck,… [more]
So as you may know I’ve been the resident Figure/Anime Merchandise expert for Anime Expo’s Weekly broadcast of AX Live! Well they apparently love me so much they are giving me my own show! I can’t believe it I’m super excited! I hope you’ll all watch! It’ll be called Toybox, well that’s already the name of the segment on AX Live but it’ll be a short 30 minutes of all me! It won’t be live but pre-recorded, so you’ll be able to see me in glorious HD without the clunky headphones and a huge microphone in my face! I don’t know for sure when we’ll begin uploading/airing the episodes but I do know we are going to start filming soon and I need your help! I’m going to have a viewer question section at the end and for my first episode I don’t have any viewer questions! So this is where I need you’re help! Send in your questions! Anything you’d like to ask me about I’m an open book! Not sure how we’ll do it now but I think we might try and do prizes or something fabulous for people who get their questions onto the show! Oh Bonus points if they are video questions so we get to see your pretty face! Either send me the questions in e-mail form to Dancingqueen[at]howagirlfigures.com or just write them here in the comments below! Thanks again to you all for your continued support and I’ll make sure i keep posting here regularly! Also check out our last episode of AX Live!

AX Live! Every Wednesday at 7pm PST! We’ve been doing Figure Giveaways recently so make sure to check out the show to be able to win some awesome figures!!
That’s amazing news! It may be hard to check it out exactly when it airs, due to time zone difference, but I will catch every episode that I can! But I will be sure to check it out wherever it is hosted
since it won’t be live it’ll be online somewhere, so far seems like Youtube and should be easy to catch episodes
This is great news, I’ll definitely subscribe and watch whatever way you put it out. I do have a question too!
I was wondering how you keep your figures clean and pristine looking? I only have a small collection and therefore have no need to purchase a big figure case. Because of this they are out in the open and tend to get a bit dusty. What do you recommend to keep your figures looking nice and shiny?
Best of luck!
Congrats and I hope you get a huge response from your show. I’ve been patiently waiting for your inaugural episode which i think you mentioned may be coming tuesday the 21st — is there any way you can confirm this? To help with your question segment, here are a few questions that i have for you:
1) Figures, statues, and dolls are mostly made from plastics, cast resin, pvc, and occassionaly metals. Each type affects weight, detail, durability, capability and overall cost. I prefer large statues over figurines. When you shop for anime figures, what’s your preference?
2) How important is it to pre-order an upcoming figure release? What are the advantages? Are there any disadvantages?
3) Why are anime figures getting soooooo expensive within the last couple of years? Similar pieces released a few years ago at $85 usd are now released with a $125 usd price tag. Do you think it’ll ever go down?
4} Do you ever purchase figures based on an investment? If so, what are your more valueable figures?
5) Do you have any anime figures (like Nendroids) on your Christmas tree?
Thanks!
