Our apartment – 2016 NSFW

It's been not only a long time since I've posted here, but it has been a long time since I shared photos of my place. The last time you guys saw where I lived I was still living at home with my parents. It was back in 2012, so easily 4 years ago you saw my collection. Now you can see not only has my… [more]

[Alter] – Melty Review

So since I've moved into my new apartment I still hadn't set up my photography studio. Seems work has me busier than I thought I would ever be, however I took some time this past weekend to set up my studio so I could take some photos of my latest purchase, Alter's 1/8th Melty from Shining Hearts. Now… [more]

[Orchid Seed] – Yuki Review NSFW

Pre-ordered this figure the moment she was released for pre-order. I needed for for multiple reasons, she's sexy/half naked, plus while she's not Sora she reminds me of Sora from Yosuga no Sora! But she's Yuki from Maid Yome and she's pretty amazing. The only issue is her adorable mouth really looks… [more]

Nendoroid Storage Container

I recently went on a trip to a magical place, The Container Store. Ok it's not really magical, but I happen to have discovered a love for organizing my home. I tend to prefer Ikea and Daiso but we went to The Container Store on a whim and I discovered this lovely storage container! I've been needing… [more]

ALA ’11 Articulated Figure Panel

This past weekend was Anime Los Angeles, went with AX Live to meet up with fans and help promote AX but on our free time we got to go and visit some fun panels, first on my list was to see the Articulated figure Panel hosted by Stan Oh and Ramses Rivera of PlasticJoint.com. These guys know so much about Articulated Action figures like I know about PVC so they know tons!

It was a pretty relaxed setting and we just hung around the front table and played with the figures the entire time. It was so much fun meeting with other figure collectors who collect something so close to what I collect but that isn’t the same thing.

Revoltech Gurren Lagann, I’ve got the version with the drills bursting out of him but this one is still really epic looking, maybe will have to snag one for myself!

These pretty cure ones were really cute and fun to pose, i still sadly suck at posing and would end up having them look really weird looking, however I was drooling at this Rider Figmas as well, but seems I might stick with my Posed PVC figures for a while longer.

I had just only seen Trigun before the con so seeing these had me drooling, I might have to pick them up myself, the detail on Wolfwood and Vash was just outstanding.

This was my first time getting to play with saber and I was surprised at how much fun I had, almost snuck of with her.

I had a lot of fun meeting everyone at this panel, it was interesting and fun to meet people who had such similar interests yet also strange to hear them comment on how 4,000yen for a figure is expensive, I’ve grown so used to 9,000+yen prices on PVC figures that seeing something for 4,000yen is cheap for me now. I hope to attend more of these figure related events at different cons in the future.

AX Live! Every Thursday at 7pm PST! We’ve been doing Giveaways recently so make sure to check out the show to be able to win some awesome prizes!! Plus every week we give away a 4day badge to the convention for 2011!

One of the many panels I missed at ALA (I actually missed all of them -_-; ). Thanks for the recap and hopefully I can make the next one.

That Rider Figma is hella expensive now. You don’t have a Revoltech Yoko? I resisted Figmas/Revoltechs for the longest time but some of them are really cool. And don’t get me started on Nendos…. xD

lol, Hi Frances. When you make the jump to the higher quality figures, there is no going back. However, I think figures are more expensive because 1. dollar to yen exchange rate 2. They are overcharging, but we give in anyway.

You saw how much Amazon.jp discounted Saber Excalibur, and they’re probably still making money. I don’t know how much money goes into marketing these figures, but I think it’s kind of cheap since most of it is online hype.

Oooh, I see some pretty cool figures up there.

Though I prefer the awesome detailing of PVC figures. Still trying to get enough money to buy a PVC from Tomoe from Queens Blade and Saber from Fate/Stay Night <3

Damn, I rambled on to much..

Yeah, I wanted to go to and brought in my Miku figma, but alas, it was not to be. Anyways, ALA 2011 was fun anyways.

If you do decide to get the Gurren Lagann Revoltech, you may want to think about investing in Lazengann and Enki as well, since they come with the wing parts for Gurren Lagann’s Flight Form 😉 Lazengann was easy for me to find at the time (since he had just come out) but Enki was a pain in the rear to find; ended up having to resort to eBay =_= to this day I don’t know if my Enki is legit or bootlegged, but the wings look fine on Gurren Lagann, so I don’t mind ^^
