Oh noes! me with no makeup! this is just a few hours after the incident. I’ve never had a black eye before, I’ve never been beaten so badly before in my life. Now I do want you to understand something, I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m not looking for you to pity me, I’m looking for awareness. I want people to understand that this is still happening, this happens to people everywhere and that when it happens to someone you know sometimes you never expected it to happen to them. I’ve spent 22 years of my life covering for my dad, giving reasons and excuses as to why he may have hit me; “I raised my voice, I have to respect him, he’s my father so I knew if I raised my voice he would slap me so it’s my fault,” “I know he doesn’t like to be woken up when he’s napping, I shouldn’t have walked by the couch when I knew I might wake him up, it’s my fault he hit me,” “I should have cleaned the refrigerator when he asked me to, it’s my fault he took the golf club and destroyed my car.”

They’re all true examples and not even the worst ones, It’s something that my close friends always knew about. They always tried to help me get out of the house, move out, leave the troubles behind. I always had something holding me back, my mother. I love my mother more than anything in this world, more than any person i’ve ever met, I’d step in front of a train for her. If I left, she’d be at my dad’s mercy, if something happened to her I’d never forgive myself. If I left there would be no one to defend her, and when there was a bad fight I was always at my mother’s side to defend her. With this recent fight, I couldn’t let him leave with my mother’s passport and her car, how would we get home? I had to do my best to stop him, I was at least successful in getting back her passport but he got away with the car. I won’t go into too much detail over the entire fight as we still need our day in court, but things aren’t easy here.

The Black eye has gone down in swelling but the color is still a pretty terrible purple and green. As soon as I got home I was able to contact the Perris Sherrif’s department and they sent a deputy over, he helped us secure a emergency restraining order so my dad can’t come within 100 ft of us or enter in our home. But it’s a scary situation, but we’re doing out best. It’s scary to think that I’ll never see my father again, not that I’ll miss him, but that I’ll never have any good times again. But then I’m reminded that 99.9% of the good times were followed by him somehow blowing up and us getting hurt or in terrible trouble. I wish I could say this is an easy decision to make, I wish I could say that this is soemthing that never happens but it’s not. This black eye is my badge of honor, it’s my constant reminder that I’m a strong woman and I’ll get through this tough time now. That in the end I’ll come out stronger. Right now things are still tough, I’ll try and post more happy figure reviews, but for now, please forgive me if there isn’t much new content, I’m trying to sort out personal issues and there has been very little time for me to sit at the computer. But there will be another giveaway soon sponsored by Hobby Search, But first I have to send out the figures from the last giveaway!

I’ll leave you with one request, please don’t ever hit someone. Anyone, unless of course it’s in self defense. Boys don’t hit your girlfriends, mothers, sisters, cousins or anyone. Same goes for you too girls, we think we’re not gonna hurt them, but that constant slapping is just a double standard and we shouldn’t hit them either! Also if you know someone going through this, please have them contact the police, or even if you have to do it for them when you see the physical abuse, there is always gonna be emotional abuse with it and they’ll be scared, just as I’m scared now. But I know this is the right thing for us to do now, and we’ll get through this!Also if maybe anyone has some connections at Volks? I know a Dollfie Yoko might cheer me right up ^_~

A non anime related post for now, bare with me because i’m just so excited I had to share this with you all! I like most people lately just LOVE Lady Gaga,  love her music, I think her style is intriguing and just so interesting and fresh! She had a stop over for her concert in La but tickets sold out so fast I was so sad, but with the boyfriend living in Seattle now I figured getting tickets for the show in Washington wasn’t a stretch! I got two tickets for us and I’m super excited to go! What are your feelings on Gaga? It seems most people are torn, they either love her or hate her! I obviously Love her but then along with my figure reviews I love hearing what you have to say as well! Also if you are  fan what is your favorite song? Lately I’ve been loving Telephone and Speechless!

Should have promoted this earlier since I ended up having two extra tickets. A concert my buddies told me about we just HAD to go! I Love the Pillows, and I Love FLCL so of course this was just obvious that we needed to go and not miss them!
The concert was truly awesome and I regret not bringing my camera as i was told they weren’t allowed. Turns out they didn’t care and there were tons of people filming and taking pictures. So the onyl footage i have is from my own iPhone but it’s still pretty cool.

Lower the volume first! I was in the FRONT ROW! Right in the middle! I had said to everyone of my friends that somehow by the pillows started I would make it to the front, well I didn’t want to be pushing my way to the front so I waited when spaces were open and sneak in, but it everyone started pushing and I pretty much let them push me and finally I made it to the front! Not bad for my first real concert ever? Sadly I won’t be surprised if I cracked a rib of two, I’m super sore and my ribs are killing me from the constant pushing, either way it was still awesome!

The other bands were pretty good, Pop Chocolate came out first and they were cute but you could tell they were really nervous and no one was dancing or moving at all, which really must have made them feel bad but they were pretty good, especially near the end.

Then Monokuro came out and they were really awesome, unlike Pop Chocolate who was an all girl band, Monokuro was all guys and they had a really good stage presence about them. I had never heard of them before but I was bobbing my head to the music tons of times!

Then Noodles came out who I have to say I liked the best out of all the opening bands. An all girl band they had a really good presence and they were also pretty cute.  By the time they came out I had gotten to the front and it was pretty awesome.

This concert was amazing and I’m so sad it never occurred to me to offer the extra tickets here beforehand! I tried to promote them on Twitter and Facebook but I guess there were no takers for this amazing concert! You all missed out!

Finally getting to posting these pictures from my recent trip to Europe. Sorry it took so long, while in Europe I would unload my memory card onto my brother’s laptop to not worry about filling up my memory card. But once we got home he didn’t transfer the pictures to my computer and I only got them back today! Well we were in London for a few days then went to Paris by the Eurostar but that’s for another post. Make sure you leave a comment on this post, past and future posts! St. Paul’s Cathedral, an important building for many reasons. Diana and Charles were married here, but for me it’s famous for only one reason! I even bought my own snow globe of the Cathedral!

Went later onto a Rock and Roll walking tour that soon turned into a Beatles tour for me since we were the only ones on the walking tour! This is the Building where Apple records used to be.

If you look in the window, on the right side you can see all the gold records hanging on the wall! If you couldn’t guess I’m a huge Beatles fan, yet i sadly missed out on heading to Abbey Road, but hey it gives me a reason to head back to London to visit again!

The Underground, Loved the underground! I wish we had amazing subway systems like that here!

I know it’s silly again, but I love that the exit says Way Out and not Exit! We were so used to looking for the Exit sign we kept getting lost the first few day!

For myself if i lived in London I’d never need a car when I could used the underground. We didn’t bother renting a car for thsi trip, also since we knew we’d be so confused with them driving on the left side of the road. Even crossing the street was scary for us since we’d be expecting the cars to be coming the opposite way. So we’d be extra careful when crossing the street! For sure I’m going back! I adored London and would recommend it to anyone who’s considering a trip to Europe! London is a place to see! Everyone was amazingly polite and sweet to us, it’s so clean and we really felt safe and comfortable in London! To everyone who we met along the way, thank you for helping us fall in love with your beautiful city!

As mentioned in my last post I happened to just have the luck of being in Paris, France when the Danny Choo meet up was happening! Was mentioning on Twitter how my trip to Paris wasn’t going well when Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com mentioned to me of a meet up that was happening in Paris. I just couldn’t miss it especially since this was the best coincidence of all!

He was a really nice guy and it was awesome meeting him, he had lots of really good advice for people wanting to live and work in Japan. He did a nice little talk that my brother recorded as well!

While it was all very good information not only about how he made it in Japan but also good information on how he learned Japanese, it didn’t really apply to anything I personally needed other than the main message of follow your dreams. As I may be very much into this Japanese pop culture with anime, figures, manga and more, I don’t have a goal of living in japan. My goals are different; get married, have a family, become a successful photographer, travel, and just to live my life o the fullest. It was awesome to see someone who has made his dreams come true and that it isn’t an easy road. I know that to make my dream come true it’ll take hard work but I’m willing to put in the hard work it’ll take!

So many awesome people i also met, was awesome meeting Lucas Aka Lu-k of Mukyaa.com. A really nice guy and we had some really nice conversations while we were there as well. He really made me want to go visit more of France, I’ll have to check out Bayonne one of these days! Thanks to James of StudioSushi to setting up the meeting!

I’ve got some awesome friends! Just the other day hanging out with my musician buddies for a little jam session. Sadly I was just a tag along since I don’t play any instrument, it was awesome seeing everyone rock out on their Guitars and Harmonica. Some really cool guys! Well why do you wonder I bring up Otakus and rocking out and you see this image of two really awesome Dakimakuras? Simple They were Otakus!

At least three of them for sure, one I just met and wasn’t 100% on but either way! We had gone to a friend’s apartment, he’s a huge Saber fanboy, and he’s got some amazing figures as well! Didn’t take any pictures of his room, but maybe next time I will!

Well again, back to these amazing Dakimakuras! My buddy Charles gave them to me! While he was showing off his anime room, I think he was a little caught off guard on how I’m not ashamed of Nude/Lude figures and I’m actually a huge fan of naughty anime figures! He showed me his amazing Saber Lily Dakimakura and I gushed over I how loved it so much and how I wish I had more than just my Kamina. He then proceeded to show me his entire Dakimakura collection and when I began drooling at seeing the adorable Nanoha and Feito pillow cases he handed them to me and said for me to keep them! Now i want to return the favor and I figure i’ll find something amazing that’s Saber related for him! Any ideas?

In case you haven’t heard the news on my twitter, I got Seth Green and the guys from Robot Chicken to help me rub it in on my boyfriend that he ditched me and instead of Going to Long Beach Comic Con he went to hang out with some old friends. I had tickets for him but he had plans with his friends instead. So I decided that I’ll rub it in as much as possible on what a great con he was missing out on! Best way to do this? Get Seth Green to talk to him personally about it!

This really made my day, not only was their panel really funny but they were all really nice with everyone. Here i am with the rest of the Robot Chicken crew that i could wrangle for this last picture.

Also my personalized signed badge by Seth Green, It’s obvious to see what is says and hopefully he’s right! Also quick tidbit, Seth Green ended up helping getting my boyfriend down to Comic Con since he ended up coming for Sunday! So my plan worked! Muwhahahaha!

Went to Nisei Week this past Saturday in Little Tokyo. Met up with Benu from Anime-Genesis, Jeremy from Anime Diet and Makenai! Also brought along with me my brother and Kawaii_Clare who dressed us up in Kimonos. Her’s being much better than mine since I didn’t have all the stuff needed for it and it was falling apart by the end of the day.

Here is Makenai with special Guest Jose Sanchez, they performed some amazing songs during the concert!

Nisei week was pretty fun, we had taken the train to get there. Never again, I have a car and i’ll be sure to use it! The train itself wasn’t bad, but the people were really terrible, but then we took it from LA to Long Beach and had to go through Compton and the people during those stops were just so terrible. We did take the train since we went to Little Tokyo with a friend who didn’t have a car, but if we can use our car we will for sure!

Went to Mexico recently, to visit my Mother’s Nanny. My mom was raised by her when she was young but family troubles they parted and my mom hadn’t heard from her in over 30 years. In our last trip to Mexico we found her old house and her brother who still lived in the house. He didn’t know who we were at first but later warmed up and informed us that my Mother’s Nanny was alive and well and lived in Colima. With this we decided to an impromptu trip to Mexico to visit her and see how she was doing after all these years! Brought Along Yoko, KagaMiku and Louise for a few pictures but this post is mostly the amazing Mexico countryside that we saw during our trip!

Still in California, we drove through Arizona to get to the Nogales border since it’s a straight shot from there to my aunt’s place in Los Mochis Sinaloa. We got to Tuscon late at night and got a hotel to leave to Nogales in the night and early.

Packed up and in the car bright and early! Kagamiku like me was a bit sleepy so early in the morning.

Once in Mexico we had to stop by El Centro De Importacion E Internacion Temporal de Vehiculos. Here we get our Visas to visit Mexico, and the permit to bring our car into Mexico.

Some amazing cloud formations that morning. I sleep the majority of the trip from Tuscon to Los Mochis. I fall asleep very easily while in a moving car and we also had been up far too early for my body to function properly.

Once in Los Mochis i had my aunt take us to go get a quick snack! Coco’s Helados! Chilled Coconuts!

The take a Coconut, chill it then cut the top off and stick a straw as you can see for you to drink the Coconut Milk. I’m not a big fan of the milk, i think it taste like soap! But my grandma loves it so she drinks the Milk.

Then they cut it in half and chop up the coconut inside and put Lemon juice and Chili powder. I apparently wasn’t eating it correctly here…

Here is a special way they’ll prepare it, add in some crunchy peanuts and Tamarindo Bits. Looks a bit like dog food but it’s very good!

The ONLY picture I got of Puerto Vallarata. I spent the rest of the time drooling and wanted to stop and stay here for the rest of the trip. Amazing beautiful beaches, beautiful luxurious hotels, I want to go back so badly!

Later back at the house in Colima visiting my mom’s Nanny, they set up the pool for the girls. You can see Valeria and Carla, Carla is a little girl that my Mom’s old nanny watches from time to time. My dad is playing with them with the hose.

I later went to cool off and stick my foot in the pool, then i got sucked into playing with the girls in a splash fight!

But two against one, it was no fight and I lost out in the end!

Charging us for toilet paper in the one public restroom we went to. So if you’ve got the runs it’ll be expensive for you sadly.

Only “Normal ” breakfast i got while in Mexico, a Poached egg and Cornflakes with some cold Orange Juice. Normally it’s warm OJ and tacos or weird pancakes. I also say normal since it’s not really normal but something my mom made for us often when we younger.

Mexico really is beautiful, I have to admit I was used to seeing Desert looking Mexico that we see in movies often. But i was taken aback by how truly stunning Mexico is. This also was the longest car ride i’ve ever done at over 3,000 miles in the car. It also did take a toll on my mom’s poor van as the speed bumps in the highway did a number on the Van’s Shocks. While i am also raving about Mexico it does have it’s downside. I always, ALWAYS come back sick. I also always somehow get the worst insect bites. This last time i got bit by some spider and it swelled up pretty badly, my jaw started to lock up and so we went to the doctor where i got a shot in the tush and some creams. It went away after that but it tends to be a hassle. But these things seem so small in comparison of how much fun I have on these trips! Are there any places you’ve been to that you just love but don’t get to go to often?
