Showing off my Gurren Lagann figure collection that i have so far. So far the count is Eight Yokos, One Kamina, One Simon/Lagann, and two Kotobukiya Models. It’s still not as epic as it should be but i do have more coming, with 11 Yoko’s pre-ordered and 2 Nia figures.

I get people linking me different Yoko figures and asking me if I’m going to get them, so I decided to clear it up a bit. While I love Yoko I won’t be getting any resin kits from E2046.com or gashapons. I try and get any figures that are Scaled PVCs and if they are Japan only now that I’ve discovered Tenso.com looks like I’ll be able to get my hands on more Yoko figures.

I’ve done a review of everything shown here other than the Kotobukiya Models and the Kaiyodo Fraulien Revoltech.You can find all my reviews here. I might do a review later of the Fraulien Revoltech, but not the Models since those need to be painted and I can’t paint at all sadly… While i’m still getting Yoko figures I’m still up for getting other characters. Of course anything Kamina, Simon, Dary, Nia anyone really! I’m a sucker for my Gurren Lagann Merch!

Now if you know me, read my blog or both you’ll know I’m a HUGE Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann fan! And that i adored all the characters from this franchise! Above all you’ll know my obsession with figures and collecting figures from my favorite series. So far I’ve only got 2 figures, and three models from Gurren Lagann, but as time goes on you’ll see my collection grow and grow.

When this Yoko was first announced i was so excited about her! The only figure of Yoko at the time was the Konami Yoko and while i was going to get he anyways i wasn’t too pleased with her design.

There are always going to be problems with any figure getting things perfect. Unless you happen to be Alter, Good Smile Company or Max Factory!

While I’m not saying that this figure is bad, I’m actually on the side of how amazing this figure really is. There are a few minor complaints i have about her.

I’ve got not complaints about her rack that’s for sure, they did really well with her proportions in this figure compared to the Konami Yoko.

Very nice job with the thigh highs, just enough squeeze in there to make them look like they are trying to stay up, while still maintaining her curvy legs.

I adore her boots in this figure, the perfect amount of detail and even the zipper looks great! I also like the small black base, it doesn’t deter from her overall awesomeness, and it’s nice that i can fit more figures around her with a small base compared to figures with uber large bases.

I also like how she holds onto her gun, sadly i broke her gun but was able to fix her. I was packing her up before my trip to Merida, Yucatan in late July and didn’t want her getting damaged. While i was packing her up to protect her from getting damaged i somehow broke her gun… oh the irony.

Luckily it broke right at a joint in the gun so gluing it back didn’t leave any marks on the gun and you wouldn’t be able to tell unless i told you!

I had her in a part of my backyard with much vegetation, looks like she’s in the jungle even though there were no jungle scenes in Gurren Lagann…

Some very nice curves on this yoko, and look! Underboob!

ACK! too much sun here but while Yoko may look very white here she’s actually very detailed with the shading on her skin.

Gurren Lagann has whats needed to make a show popular all in Yoko, cute girl, big gun, big boobs, skimpy outfit, explosions! Whats not to love?

At first i was honestly afraid of leaning since her legs seemed to be not as stable as most figures, but so far no leaning from badass Yoko!

You can see a bit of butt crack! Oh noes, someone needs to tell yoko to pull her pants up! This reminds me in high school there was this girl who always when she sat down showed her butt crack, people would make fun of her for it but no one would tell her anything. One day after tired of people teasing her i told her what we could see, she was so mad at me! I was so amazed, if someone told me they could see my butt crack i’d be thankful so that way i knew to fix it! Has anything like this happened to you?

Seriously hands down Yoko wins back backside award of ’07-’08.

Little bit of camel toe going on… While most guys find this attractive i don’t like it at all, I personally try to avoid camel toe at all costs! But then again it looks fine on Yoko.

Serious Underboob action going on here, Yoko would also win best rack of ’07-’08!

Now to my complaints, i only have two for Yoko here, One is this black ring around her neck, whats it for? i haven’t even seen one image of Yoko wearing a black choker. Is it to secure her head in place? And two is her hair, i love the design but the glossiness kinda bugs me. I’m not used to glossy hair but at the same time I’m glad that she doesn’t look exactly like the promotional pictures, she looked very very glossy in her promo pictures…

Overall I adore this figure, I have to admit i’m biased and adore all Yoko figures. But she’s an awesome figure, the price is a bit steep but for a 1/7 figure she is worth it. While better Yoko Figures are begin made this Yoko isn’t to be forgotten in all the hoopla!

I got a package today! Can you guess what it is? If you can’t even guess from the title of this post i feel bad for you…

I’ve been wanting this figure for sooo long now! Being the Uber Diehard Gurren Lagann fan i had to own her!

The detail is awesome!~ But i don’t really like the shiny hair all that much but the rest of her is awesome.

She looks so much better than the Konami version thats for sure.

Another thing is that she sure is heavy and only time will tell but so far it looks like she’ll be a leaner, the pvc in her legs doesn’t seem very strong and she seems like she’s really heavy. But the the weight seems to be displaced well so as i said only time will tell if she’ll lean or not. A full review will be coming soon!

I Have so far a total of 7 figures per-ordered. I must also say i’m doing quite well with my rule of only 3 figures a month. So far i have had no figures for April, and i have none pre-ordered for May. Lately there aren’t as many figures that scream out “OMG IF YOU DON’T BUY ME NOW YOU’LL REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF OF LIFE!!” The figures i do however have on pre-order are the few that totally scream out to me.

Alter 1/8 Fate Testarossa (June)

I must admit this does scream at me to own her, I’m just glad that they are re-releasing Alter Fate, i was extremely worried about not getting my hands on one.

Enterbrain 1/7 Yoko (June)

Thank heaven for Kid Nemo, not only am i going to get Yoko for cheaper, she’s pushed back till June for them so i don’t have to worry about paying for her any time soon. While i’m super excited about Yoko, i’m not excited about her price.

Good Smile Company 1/8 Hayase Mitsuki (October)

I know some people hated Mitsuki, but i liked her as a character. While stealing you’re best friend’s man is a girl taboo. If she’s in a coma then he’s up for grabs in my book…

Good Smile Company 1/8 Takamachi Nanoha Training Team Uniform (June)

Still haven’t seen Strikers, but like the face and pose on this Nanoha figure, plus i know i’d regret not getting her in the end. I still have her ordered with HLJ but i might change it to Kid Nemo later.

Jun Planning 1/8 Katsura Hinagiku (July)

At least Kid Nemo has her up for pre-order, HLJ is surely slipping more and more. They still don’t’ have her up for pre-order…

Max Factory 1/8 Miki Hoshii Awaking Ver. and Max Factory 1/8 Miki Hoshii Expectation Ver. (October)

While i haven’t played Idolmaster, or even finished the anime, i love the design on these two figures. Love the glittery coats they have on, and the pose is awesome. While the price is steap, i know i had to have these two!

It’s amazing at the amount of money i save not buying figures. With the Money i’m saving from not getting figures for May and April, I’ve been able to pay off some credit card bills, and get shelves for my figures. But then it’s quite hard not to impulse shop, with no figures anytime soon i keep looking at ebay and figure bargin at Hobby Search. I don’t see anything i need or really can’t live without but it’s hard not to look knowing i have a bit of extra moneys on hand. But i am loving seeing the amount of my credit card debt drop faster.
