It’s that time of the year again! Exactly one year ago i posted My reverse Harem. It was quite popular so i felt like doing it again since it really does need to be updated.

My last Harem has at least one guy that needs to be removed. Sorry but Renji, you’re out. The suckyness of Bleach has ruined my love for you. Even though you were a big part of my harem last year my tastes have changed and my love for you has just kept dwindling. Also I’m removing Gene Starwind, not that i don’t’ like him anymore, but really, my Harem needs space for some new meat!

Now onwards to my list!

Sagara Sousuke
Anime: Full Metal Panic (2002)

It’s hard for me to describe why i love Souske so much. I mentioned in my last harem post how i loved his quirkiness and that hasn’t changed. I think the biggest reason he’s still on the list is Full Metal Panic’s re-watchablity. If it were a series that i would watch once then forget he wouldn’t even be up for consideration. Plus I had just purchased the first two novels of FMP and my love for Souske and the FMP story was re-ignited in a big way. The novels are really amazing and if you haven’t picked them up i really suggest you do so.

Kamina
Anime: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (2007)

I’ve Loved Kamina since i saw the first episode of Gurren Lagann last year. Kamina is a character that is hard to not like. While his life may have been ended short he was never forgotten within the Dai Gurren Dan. And he’ll never be forgotten for me. He’s a major part of Gurren Lagann’s story and honestly without him they wouldn’t have made it as far as they did. While Simon may have been the one with the power, without his Aniki there to back him up with a big grin he wouldn’t have been able to get as far as he did. Characters like Kamina are the reason i love anime so much. You don’t see characters or people like Kamina often and if you do they are deemed reckless idiots. But there was a method to Kamina’s madness (not that he was crazy.) Plus he’s so badass he gets a place on my car as well!

Lockon Stratos
Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (2007)

Now normally i wait a few months before I add another person into my harem. I’ve got to make sure it’s love and not infatuation. But i have to make an exception for this guy. I’ve already professed my love once and here i am doing it again. Lockon Stratos, You are worthy of my Harem! I’m sooo eager for the next season of Gundam 00, I’m eager to see what they will do with Lockon’s character. I was reminded on how there was a scene in the first season where Lockon goes to leave flowers at his family’s grave, and there were already flowers and someone who looked EXACTLY like Lockon hiding in the shadows. I’m just worried that this new Lockon is going to be some evil jerk… So for now until we see how Lockon will be in the next season. I’m going to specify that the Lockon i <3 is Lockon Stratos of Season 1.

Nobuo “Nobu” Terashima

The second time a Seki Tomokazu character makes my list. For nobu it’s quite simple as to why he’s on my list, It’s the Guitar. Nobu is a Hopeless romantic who just wants to write music and find his love. He’s had his heart broken by Hachi and while Nana and Hachi may be the main characters, Nobu is a main reason i keep reading. I’m still hoping that somewhere down the road Hachi returns to Nobu. But i have no idea what will happen since NO ONE IS RELEASING SCANS OF NANA!!!!!!!

Okazaki Tomoya

Want to know why Tomoya is in my list? Other than the fact that he looks hot shirtless? He’s the first guy in a Harem type anime (that i’ve seen) that has some backbone. Most Harem leads are spineless wimps who wouldn’t really amount to much. They are your typical losers, yet all the girls somehow fall for him. Tomoya is Sarcastic and a delinquent, yet he has had his share of problems in his life. It was so refreshing to see a male lead be so awesome in this type of show. For his sarcastic nature and still willing to help out the girls who do need help, Tomoya gets a spot in my Harem.

Well in most harems there is the typical “loli” character or Imouto. So why i can’t i have my Shota character?I’ve always liked Syaoran since i first saw CCS in Middle School. I wonder now why i didn’t add him to my original Harem, he’s always a character I’ve had a soft spot for.How he goes from Rival to Love Interest is just so awesome! Now don’t get this confused with Syaoran of Tsubasa Chronicles. Yes i could have used him instead and had someone who would have been closer to a much more legal age. But in all honesty i didn’t like Tsubasa Chronicles as much as i adored CCS.

There are some Men who would have had a prominent place in my harem but certain problems arose when i was going to choose them.

Saotomoe Alto
Anime: Macross Frontier (2008)
Seiyuu: Nakamura Yuuichi

Only reason Alto isn’t in my harem is that Macross Frontier is still too new. Alto so far, is pretty cool and badass in my book. Plus i adore his hair! But there is still so much more of Macross to come and Alto’s Character could either get much more awesome, or it go go south…I’d rather wait till next year to decide on whether or not he’s still worthy of my harem. But for now he’s just a runner up.

Harima Kenji
Anime: School Rumble (2004)
Seiyuu: Takahashi Hiroki

Harima sadly only has one thing that is a very large fault that isn’t even his fault. He looks too much like my ex bf. But Harima is much cuter and much more badass. His likeness to a real life person who i despise is the reason Harmia isn’t in my Harem. While his personality is nothing like my EX at all. His character design is all too similar. But since i still love harima for his personality he’s a runner up for my harem.

Simon
Anime: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (2007)
Seiyuu: Kakihara Tetsuya

I have only one real rule that i follow for my harem. No two characters of the same series. For that Simon gets the ax. Sorry Simon while the second Arc of Gurren Lagann shows how awesome Simon really is, in my mind he still never surpasses my love for Kamina. Plus without Kamina, Simon would never have been even remotely as awesome as he gets near the end!

Dr. Franken Stein
Anime: Soul Eater (2008)
Seiyuu: Uchida Yuya

Once again another left out of the harem since his character is still too new. Stein is still pretty badass and i really like his character but since the show is still far too new, i can’t put him in my harem since his character can go up or down really.

Kururugi Suzaku
Anime: Code Geass( 2006)
Seiyuu: Sakurai Takahiro

Why isn’t Suzaku in my harem? I did profess my love to him just the other day! Simple, Geass is almost done and we have no idea what Sunrise is going to pull on us now! They may find a way to make me not like Suzaku anymore. i want Geass to be complete before i honestly sit and decide if i have in my harem or not.

Max Factory 1/8 Shirakawa Kotori

I had technically paid for her in December but i didn’t receive her till January of this year, for my first figure of the year i have to say that it was an amazing figure. I had finally set out to watch Da Capo and when i did i, (like most people) loved Kotori. She was such a sweet character and while Junichi may have chosen Nemu, we all chose Kotori. As for the actual PVC version of Kotori, she’s a good quality figure, my only thought is she is super tall for a 1/8 scale figure. Standing next to a few of my other 1/8 scale ladies she seems tall, she’s as tall as a few 1/7 scale figures I own but then her proportions don’t match the 1/7 scale figures. Overall any fan of Da Capo must own this figure, get your own here.

Max Factory 1/8 Fauna

I had been dying to own this figure since her release back in December. I have a strict rule of only buying figures from series i have seen/liked. It’s my best way to avoid getting too many figures on impulse. I have to honestly say i wanted her solely for the castoff feature. But she is an absolutely beautiful figure, and i’m glad i was able to add her to my collection. Technically she was an impulse buy as well, but a well thought out impulse buy. I was about to buy her online from HLJ when we drove up to LA to visit a friend, we then went to a local mall and walked into an anime store and they had Fauna. I just had to have her, plus the fact that if i got her from HLJ shipping would have made it so much more expensive and this way i avoided the shipping costs…

Sega Moon Rabbit Weapon Meena B

A super impulse buy, Meena only cost me a grand total of $10. I hadn’t even seen Densha Otoko yet but i loved the character design and since she was a cheap i got her. Lucky me i later saw Densha Otoko so i have a reason to own this lovely lady… My only complaint is that the paint on her neck is is totally messed up, but then for $10 i have no complaints. If she cost me a penny more I’d be pissed but hey you get what you pay for right?

Good Smile Company 1/8 Teresa Testarossa

I’ve had in my collection Good Smile’s Kaname Chidori since last year and never had her partner in crime Tessa. Honestly the Good Smile versions of these FMP ladies are the only good figures ever made from this awesome series. If anyone dares to try and say the Atelier Sai figures are better I’ll track them down and stab them myself, with their own Atelier Sai figures… I love this tessa and i was honestly really lucky to find her. I’ve heard people who own this figure complain about how she falls off her base but i haven’t had any issues with that.

Max Factory 1/8 Sawatari Makoto

I love this figure, she just captures Makoto’s personality so well. While most people didn’t like Makoto in Kanon, she was my favorite character in Kanon. Her sculpt is beautiful and her paint is juts exquisite. Makoto was one of my most anticipated figure of ’08, when i saw she was being released i just knew i had to have her. I was willing to cancel every other figure order just to own her if i had to. Get your own here.

Kaiyodo Buster Machine #7 Nono

While I’ll be the first to mention I’m not a fan of Kaiyodo’s Bome series, I did however like this figure. I have a few personal issues with paint, eyes, pose, and shading. The Bome figures tend to go on their own tangent and don’t follow character designs. The eyes never look the way the original character’s eyes look, the paint is usually really matte like and blotchy, the poses tend to be boring and safe, and the shading of the figure is never done well. On my Bome FMP figures and my Bome Kiddy grade figures they have almost no shading done on their bodies and the “shading” on their hair is ridiculous. For a bome figure this Nono is pretty good but i wouldn’t recommend it honestly.

Good Smile Company 1/8 Alicia Florence

Saved the best for last! Honestly while i was super excited about Fauna and Makoto, Alicia tops the cake. Her pose is excellent and Aria Sacho looks so cute, I have just recently fallen in love with Aria and this figure was just the thing to get. Something about this figure just captures Alicia’s personality, beauty and grace. hands down any and all Aria fans need to own this figure, i just hope that Good Smile Company

So I’ve done a few outdoor photo shoots with my figures but never anywhere out in the open to the public. I’ve been dying to go out and do one in an open spot, this is my collection and my hobby i shouldn’t be ashamed to go outside and take pictures! So I decided to take some of my swimsuit figures to the beach!

I’m no good at doing indoor shoots, I’ve tried and tried again but I can’t seem to get the lighting to work. I have heard from many people that the best light for photos in sunlight so doing outdoor shoots on sunny days just seemed like the best idea. I have to say that doing this shoot makes me feel like I went up a notch in being a figure collector. I’ve met people who collect figures but are ashamed of their collection, they tell me they will do indoor shoots but never have the guts to go outside with them for the world to see.

I choose Tessa and Chidori since they are a set and I’ve had Chidori for a while now but it was becoming difficult to acquire Tessa.

I love this Tessa figure, I owned before the Atelier Sai Race Queen Tessa, and she was just a horrible horrible figure. It didn’t even look like her honestly, the outfit was something she would never have been caught wearing and it was completely out of character. I adore this Tessa so much, it’s so true to her character, she would be the kinda person to show up to the beach in a school swimsuit.

I was so glad to finally get Tessa so that way my Chidori wouldn’t be alone anymore. This figure is one of my favorites to be honest with you, it’s once again honest to the character plus she’s made so well. My only complaint is that on her right arm, it’s not all one piece it’s two pieces stuck together at the elbow. But since the gun pretty much covers that up i don’t mind it at all. Other than that small fault it’s practically prefect. She’s only on one foot but no leaning for this lovely lady. I also love how her hair just flows in the wind.

While browsing eBay the other day, I noticed someone was selling off some really awesome figures, for cheap, and that they were real! What I also noticed was how the seller mentioned that he’s not collecting figures anymore so he’s selling them all off. Well I being the curious cat that I am asked why, and he mentioned that his new girlfriend hates them, “My girlfriend doesn’t approve of me displaying or even owning them.” My first thought was “Wow no one would ever make me get rid of my figures!” My running gag with my friends and family is that even if I end up homeless I’ll be the crazy lady living in a box surrounded by my lovely PVC ladies.

But now I honestly wonder what would make someone drastically change their lives. I learned from my ex is that I will never let anyone change me. He tried to change me and my habits, from staying on the computer till way past midnight and watching anime for days on end without leaving my home. Now while those would seem like bad habits to a normal person, it’s not as bad for an anime fan. Yes, I stay up late, but I still get up early when I need to. Yes, I’ll stay home sometimes on my days off and watch anime all day, but who doesn’t do that already with TV, Video Games and even sitting down reading a good book? Just because it was anime it would piss him off. Well that’s not the point I’m trying to make.

I’m trying to say that what would make you sell of your collection? I know if I even did become extremely poor nothing is safe, if I have to sell off some of my valuables to live then they are going bye-bye. I know I’d sell some of first and save some others till the last minute. But I don’t think I’d sell them just because someone told me they didn’t like them. I have my hobbies and who ever I decide to have a relationship with better understand them in the same way that I would understand him.

Well even though I feel sorry for the poor guy I end up winning in the long run. I first caught his eBay listing while browsing for Max Factory Figures. I stumbled upon a listing where he was selling three figures at once, with a staring bid of USD$0.01. Three figures from Shining Tears, Elwin, Niege and Ryuna. I would have bid for them but I do happen to still be quite poor. Even though the final bid was $100+ You would have still made off with a free figure considering that each figure is about $60, not including shipping.

So I e-mailed him asking what other figures he had for sale, the gave me a list and one figure stood out for the shabby little list. Good Smile Company 1/8 Tessa Testarossa, I’ve already got the GSC 1/8 Kaname Chidori, and I always wanted the matching Tessa but never found her anywhere. Well this guy had one! I just had to get it, no matter the price. So I asked and he blew me away, he told me $20. ZOMG $20! You’re kidding! No he was serious, and then I thought, wait is this too good to be true? Are these fakes? So I asked for photos of the figure in the box and yes she’s the real deal. So I snagged me a new figure and saved me a couple of bucks! So I guess this guy’s loss is our win? He’s still got some other figures up for grabs; snatch them up before they are all gone!

5. Sagara Souske
Full Metal Panic
I love this character as you can see he’s a proud member of my reverse harem as well. He’s got a great character design and I think he’d sell well. Hopefully when KyoAni decides to finally make FMP 4 then maybe, JUST MAYBE. We’ll have a figure of him but for now I think not.

4.Miyazawa Yukino
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou
Yukino is one figure that should have had a pvc release! She would be a must have in everyone’s collection! I know myself and Deftoned would be the first to jump on the bandwagon of pre-orders if say Max Factory, Good Smile Company or Alter made a figure of this lovely lady.

3. Yagami Hayate
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s or Strikers
Almost all of the characters from this show have been getting a pvc figure, but why is Hayate being left out? I already have the Alter Takamachi Nanoha and I’ve got on pre-order the Alter Fate Testarossa. I think Alter needs to get their act up and make a hayate figure already!

2. Kamina

Why isn’t Kamina in the #1 spot you ask? I know he’s one of my favorite male characters of 2007, he’s also a proud member of my harem. I love Kamina so much that if they released right now a PVC figure or him for $300, then who cares I’m buying it!!! Even if I don’t have a job right now

1. Kou Seiya
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
Now this last one is more of a figure that I want but I doubt anyone will ever make… I don’t want a Sailor Starfighter figure. I want a Seiya figure, in his red suit. After I finally finished off all of Sailor Moon SupersS I got to stars, which really was the best season of them all! Not only because it has an amazing story line, and some amazing character development, but also for the introduction of the Sailor Starlights!

Note that as well Two are by the same Seiyuu, he’s my favorite seiyuu ever! Two are covered in tattoos, two are red-heads, two have plenty of scars and one looks kinda like my boyfriend but punk and not as manly.

Well Full Metal Panic was one of the first anime I ever really saw. It was right when I was just getting into anime, after I saw Neon Genesis Evangalion, Outlaw Star, and Chobits. I was just starting out in the anime scene not having seen many shows I mostly went off of my brother’s taste in anime. (I wasn’t allowed to download anything so he had to do it for me and so instead of looking for something myself I just watched what he had already had in his collection.) Sousuke was a character i fell in love with, his quirkiness, and definitely his way of saving the day. The way he does love Kaname but doesn’t really know how to express it. He was always a favorite of mine.

Kamina is the epitome of a Gar Character, he’s so manly and almost full of himself but you know he’s also unsure of himself and only acts this way to bring up the moral of his troops. He’s just Kamina, there is really no other way to describe him. He’s badass, and sexy, yet playful and caring. Without Kamina there is no Gurren Lagann, this series needed him to progress, yes he got axed. But his presence did not go unnoticed, they keep referring to him and without Kamina, Simon is nothing but an orphan who can dig. Plus Body the whole Tattoos deal is awesome. Yet in real life I don’t like tattoos…

Nobuo “Nobu” Terashima

You’ll notice in most of my list are bad boys, men who are tough and kick ass. Men with scars and are manly with a sense of defending whatever they believe in. Nobu is different, he’s the sensitive type. Keep in mind this list is more of what kinda men I’d like a Harem with but Nobu is really the man I’d date and want a relationship with. He’s kind, sweet, plays the guitar, shy, and when he loves someone he loves them so much it hurts. Why Hachi went with Takumi instead of Nobu I’ll never know but she’s crazy to turn him down for that jerk.

Renji, Renji, Renji. What more can I say he’s sexy. Who doesn’t love a fire crotch with a residing hairline who is also covered in tattoos. I don’t know I guess I’m crazy but his badass-ed-ness makes up for everything. Even though I’m actually attracted to male character with Tattoos and Red hair. Plus a big sword always helps to win over my heart. ___________________________________________________________

Gene Starwind
Anime: Outlaw Star (1998)
Seiyuu: Shibuya Shigeru

The lone outlaw, a Slacker and pervert who only wants the easy way out. But when the moment strikes he takes his destiny into his own hands and saves the day and gets the girl. Outlaw Star was one of the first anime I ever saw. Second actually, I loved this series. If it weren’t for the lightheartedness of Outlaw Star after i saw Evangalion I would never had continued to watch anime. I would have thought, that it’s all crazy mind fuck series out there. But this after this series I was hooked.

Technically I think I get one more guy in there with me. But I really can’t think of someone else who would be suitable for the list. Maybe Post time skip Simon. Maybe Ichigo from Bleach as well but I didn’t want two from the same show. Holland from Eureka Seven might have been a good choice as well. I can’t exactly choose Takahashi Ryousuke cause I really only like him for his car. So I’m quite happy with my choices.
