Revoltech Wall-e! SOOO CUTE!!! Haven’t wanted a revoltech in a long time but now I really want this one!

I not only need this Wall-e for myself, I also think i need it for a friend who LOVES Wall-e just as much as I do! Plus with the price at around 1,800 it’s not bad at all! Kaiyodo didn’t have enough with just releasing the super awesome Woody and Buzz Revoltechs that they are making some badass Mike and Sully revoltechs as well! I love these, not only for the fact that I’m a super huge Monster’s Inc. fan! Can’t wait for the sequel!

Best part of these is you can do your own Hentai Sully and Hentai Mike like they’ve done with Hentai Woody!

Showing off my Gurren Lagann figure collection that i have so far. So far the count is Eight Yokos, One Kamina, One Simon/Lagann, and two Kotobukiya Models. It’s still not as epic as it should be but i do have more coming, with 11 Yoko’s pre-ordered and 2 Nia figures.

I get people linking me different Yoko figures and asking me if I’m going to get them, so I decided to clear it up a bit. While I love Yoko I won’t be getting any resin kits from E2046.com or gashapons. I try and get any figures that are Scaled PVCs and if they are Japan only now that I’ve discovered Tenso.com looks like I’ll be able to get my hands on more Yoko figures.

I’ve done a review of everything shown here other than the Kotobukiya Models and the Kaiyodo Fraulien Revoltech.You can find all my reviews here. I might do a review later of the Fraulien Revoltech, but not the Models since those need to be painted and I can’t paint at all sadly… While i’m still getting Yoko figures I’m still up for getting other characters. Of course anything Kamina, Simon, Dary, Nia anyone really! I’m a sucker for my Gurren Lagann Merch!

Saw this today on Figure/Gk and i’m so excited about this. I don’t any Fraulein Revoltechs and i wanted to get one so i could at least judge it’s quality for myself. And for it to be Yoko is just awesome!

Now my first thing is i’m amazed at this person for saying that she looks fat here.

And wow, Fraulein Yoko looks like a pig….really chubby if you ask me, kinda disappointing to me. =(

Yoko looks damn awesome and not at all pig like… I’m just glad that this version looks a lot better than the Konami version. The Konami version looks kinda bad to me but i actually might end up getting it anyways since i’m a huge GL fan >_<

Well there is still no official release date of Yoko but you know i’ll be hovering Kid Nemo for my pre-order of her!

Once again my boredom overcame me, and the end result was a subpar photo shoot. I really need to take a class or something to make much better shoots. I’m overall happy with the end result but this one took the longest to shoot out off all the shoots I’ve done in the past. I did the Hime Kuri girls this time around since there seems to be a lack of photos focused on these lovely lolis. I have both since originally one was mine and the other belonged to my boyfriend, but since he really never cared for his figures i stole them and added them to my ever growing collection. They never really counted as his anyways since i bought them all and i liked them more than he ever did. Now lets cut to the chase already!

As usual overall i liked both figures. I had gotten them as impulse buys, they were on sale in this one store for $35 for both. While i have a habit of only buying figures from series i know and characters i like i didn’t with these two and just bought them for the price and since i liked the character design. I’m glad i did they are both quite cute. There aren’t any issues with paint on either figure and the face and pose are quite cute. I do however wish they were cast off. On Mode Nero it almost seems as she could be but alas she is not, but then they would but much more expensive if they were. But honestly there was no point in me getting either, if it hadn’t been for the amazing price i wouldn’t have bothered. Not that i regret it now, it’s more of that i know myself and if i had paid more then i would have regretted it.

If you like the character design and have been eying them for some time then go ahead and snag one while you can. But if you didn’t really have the need to own either then there is no hurry to run and own your own as nothing about either screams buy me.

Hopefully today is my last day being sick, i finally went to the doctors and got some awesome cough meds so i should be back to work tomorrow. Once again boredom took over and i did another shoot today. I did Fuka and Yotsuba today since i noticed there aren’t many reviews of either online. Both are real simple figures, neither awesome stand out, but i liked the Yotsuba the manga so much i just had to own them both. Plus the fact that both were pretty inexpensive was a huge plus.

This is really the only picture i took that i liked of Yotsuba. I’m not a fan of joins and they just stood out like a sore thumb in all the pictures.

Fuka’s design is quite simple. Nothing about her honestly screams sexy, but then thats Fuka. She’s not supposed to be sexy but more of the girl next door who is your friend and not an object of lust.kinda makes me feel bad for her?

I really liked this setting with the rocks but it was hard posing fuka in the rocks so i moved her to the same place i took pictures of Kotori but a little more over to the side.

Yotsuba decided to join in on the fun but she never stood still! She’d keep popping into the frame while i was taking pictures.

She just jumped in whenever she felt like! Oh that silly Yotsuba!

—final thoughts—
While i like both figures, unless your a fan of the series i wouldn’t recommend them. I don’t like the joints in Yotsuba, and posing (at least for me) had been quite difficult. It’s hard to keep her siting in one pose without gravity moving her down and falling over. Fuka is well made, no problems with paint and such. but the pose is boring, and nothing just pops out about her saying “OMG YOU HAVE TO OWN ME!” I got her for two reasons A.) Price was good, and B.) I liked her character. Other than that i wouldn’t have bothered getting her in the first place.

Had another recent photo shoot, this time with Kaiyodo’s Nono from their Bome series of figures. I’ve never been a big fan of Kaiyodo’s bome series, hate the poses, faces, paint, and such… but this one has to be the best they have made in all honesty.

I love the shading for the hair on Nono in particular, they have done a great job.

A big thing about Kaiyodo’s bome figures, they tend to just make their own designs for the eyes, but with Nono they kept her original design of the little stars for her eyes.

Notice where Kamina and Simon got their pose from? Yep Gurren Lagann (from what i hear) is an homage to Gunbuster and Diebuster. Thats another thing i liked a lot about this figure, the changeable arms. I like this pose a bit more in all honesty.

For this shoot i was actually trying to do it at night outside and get the stars as a backdrop, but i ended up only getting a pure black background. But i really like how it came out, still fits well with Nono in general. While i like this figure i won’t openly proclaim it to be the best figure ever, if you liked Diebuster and want a less expensive Nono figure then this is the one for you! I just wish i could have gotten my hands on my Dad’s DSLR, the pictures would have been much better but oh well, maybe i’ll just re-shoot it later…

Max Factory 1/8 Shirakawa Kotori

I had technically paid for her in December but i didn’t receive her till January of this year, for my first figure of the year i have to say that it was an amazing figure. I had finally set out to watch Da Capo and when i did i, (like most people) loved Kotori. She was such a sweet character and while Junichi may have chosen Nemu, we all chose Kotori. As for the actual PVC version of Kotori, she’s a good quality figure, my only thought is she is super tall for a 1/8 scale figure. Standing next to a few of my other 1/8 scale ladies she seems tall, she’s as tall as a few 1/7 scale figures I own but then her proportions don’t match the 1/7 scale figures. Overall any fan of Da Capo must own this figure, get your own here.

Max Factory 1/8 Fauna

I had been dying to own this figure since her release back in December. I have a strict rule of only buying figures from series i have seen/liked. It’s my best way to avoid getting too many figures on impulse. I have to honestly say i wanted her solely for the castoff feature. But she is an absolutely beautiful figure, and i’m glad i was able to add her to my collection. Technically she was an impulse buy as well, but a well thought out impulse buy. I was about to buy her online from HLJ when we drove up to LA to visit a friend, we then went to a local mall and walked into an anime store and they had Fauna. I just had to have her, plus the fact that if i got her from HLJ shipping would have made it so much more expensive and this way i avoided the shipping costs…

Sega Moon Rabbit Weapon Meena B

A super impulse buy, Meena only cost me a grand total of $10. I hadn’t even seen Densha Otoko yet but i loved the character design and since she was a cheap i got her. Lucky me i later saw Densha Otoko so i have a reason to own this lovely lady… My only complaint is that the paint on her neck is is totally messed up, but then for $10 i have no complaints. If she cost me a penny more I’d be pissed but hey you get what you pay for right?

Good Smile Company 1/8 Teresa Testarossa

I’ve had in my collection Good Smile’s Kaname Chidori since last year and never had her partner in crime Tessa. Honestly the Good Smile versions of these FMP ladies are the only good figures ever made from this awesome series. If anyone dares to try and say the Atelier Sai figures are better I’ll track them down and stab them myself, with their own Atelier Sai figures… I love this tessa and i was honestly really lucky to find her. I’ve heard people who own this figure complain about how she falls off her base but i haven’t had any issues with that.

Max Factory 1/8 Sawatari Makoto

I love this figure, she just captures Makoto’s personality so well. While most people didn’t like Makoto in Kanon, she was my favorite character in Kanon. Her sculpt is beautiful and her paint is juts exquisite. Makoto was one of my most anticipated figure of ’08, when i saw she was being released i just knew i had to have her. I was willing to cancel every other figure order just to own her if i had to. Get your own here.

Kaiyodo Buster Machine #7 Nono

While I’ll be the first to mention I’m not a fan of Kaiyodo’s Bome series, I did however like this figure. I have a few personal issues with paint, eyes, pose, and shading. The Bome figures tend to go on their own tangent and don’t follow character designs. The eyes never look the way the original character’s eyes look, the paint is usually really matte like and blotchy, the poses tend to be boring and safe, and the shading of the figure is never done well. On my Bome FMP figures and my Bome Kiddy grade figures they have almost no shading done on their bodies and the “shading” on their hair is ridiculous. For a bome figure this Nono is pretty good but i wouldn’t recommend it honestly.

Good Smile Company 1/8 Alicia Florence

Saved the best for last! Honestly while i was super excited about Fauna and Makoto, Alicia tops the cake. Her pose is excellent and Aria Sacho looks so cute, I have just recently fallen in love with Aria and this figure was just the thing to get. Something about this figure just captures Alicia’s personality, beauty and grace. hands down any and all Aria fans need to own this figure, i just hope that Good Smile Company

Yes I bought both versions that E2046 had to offer. But i ended up selling the black one to my brother since he wanted it soooooo badly and was willing to pay me way over what E2046 sold it to me for! Now i can honestly say these two are the most expensive figures i’ve ever purchased, and usually I’d regret it by now. I’d think, wow with that money i could have bought a whole bunch of cheaper figures. But in reality i truly think these are the prize of my collection. Yes they did cost me a pretty penny, but the detail, the paint, the pose, the face, the fishnets… All of them combine to make an amazing figure. If anything the only thing i regret is selling off the black one to my brother. I would have loved to just have both ladies standing next to each other. But at least I know she went to a good home, to someone who will honestly appreciate her just as much as I do.

Not much to say really, nothing about these figures really stand out, they are both amazing and look great, they command a presence yet fall to the back. But i do love having them in my collection, the detail is well done, no problems with paint or pose, the faces look just right. They aren’t figures for beauty but more for if you loved Eureka Seven, if you a fan of the show these two ladies are a must have.

1/8 Chidori Kaname Swimsuit Ver

My absolute Favorite Full Metal Panic figure ever! This makes up for the horribleness that is the Atelier sai Chidori that I bought. She’s beautiful, and it looks just like Chidori! How can i explain this? I hated the atelier sai figure since it was out of place for the character. Well i love this figure because it suits the character. Come on what was FMP if not pretty girls, guns, mecha and a great story line! My only regret about this figure is i bought her as the display figure at a store, so she didn’t come with a box. I still have the boxes to all my figures, yes it takes up space. Well lets not kid ourselves, it takes up a crapload of space. But i take pride in the fact that i have all these figures and that i also have all of their original boxes…

1/6 Saber Holiday Version

One of my favorite Saber figures that i own. An impulse buy, but a well thought out impulse buy. I had wanted this figure for some time but didn’t really feel like going through the effort of buying her online. So when i saw her decently priced at a local anime store she was all mine! What i love most about this figure is her outfit, it’s sweet and innocent. Plus she was my first removable skirt figure. I was opening her out of the box and noticed that the skirt had plastic over the top. I sat around and trying to just pull the plastic off but i couldn’t so i tugged on her a bit and she came apart! I thought for sure i broke her, i had just bought her and she’s already broken! But then i noticed, “Hey! She’s not broken! You do this to take off her skirt!!!” With an amazing pose and a great innocent yet shy face this Saber is an amazing figure!

1/8 Sumomo Akihime

Sumomo, oh Sumomo I <3 you! from the moment i started watching Nanatsuiro drops i fell in love with Sumomo. I don’t know what it was, the magical girl costume? Her sheep friend who actually is her secret crush? Her shyness yet willingness to persevere? I don’t really know but i loved this character and i just had to have this figure! She really is just so cute, and how she hugs Yuki-chan is just adorable! Only thing i don’t like? Her skirt is removable and yes that usually is a plus, her underwear seems to fall a bit short and it seems like the top of her butt is hanging out. So even though I love removable Skirt figures, I wish she had better underwear on.

Craft Label Death Note Ryuk

My only Death Note figure. I will admit i bought this when i was going through a “OMG DEATH NOTE IS THE BEST SERIES EVAH!” phase, i still love my ryuk. He’s the largest figure in my collection, but it suits him. What i love the best is how he’s made, instead of everything being made out of pvc, he also has some cloth like material on him. All his “clothing” you could say is made of cloth so it gives him some added texture. Plus unlike a normal PVC figure, he’s not smooth, he’s rough and has a dry feeling. For a human figure it would never work, but for our sarcastic apple loving shinagami? It’s perfect.

Ayase Fuka School Uniform

Fuka! oh fuka, She’s not the prettiest of all my girls. she doesn’t have a knock out body, no big boobies, no nice butt. She’s a plain jane, a simple girl nothing to wild about her. She’s kinda drab really, even her pose reminds me of the girls at school who weren’t too pretty, knew they weren’t and just didn’t care. But then thats our fuka! and I wouldn’t have her any other way!

Nothing to say about these two really, they were handed down to me from my boyfriend, i’ve never seen kiddy grade. I will say i’m not a fan of the bome series. I hate the packaging, how you have to cut open the box to even open it up! Pain in my ass!

Chidori Kaname & Teresa Testarossa

Another Bome Series, I don’t like the faces on these figures really, But i do like the detailing on the uniforms for each character. It’s a well made sculpt, not problems with the paint. the faces are just off. If you need to have all the figures from FMP i’d say get these instead of ever buying the Atelier sai ones…

Himekuri Image Girl Mode Bianca/Mode Nero

IMPULSE BUYS!!! i bought these cause they were cheap! SUPER CHEAP! HLJj wants $33 for each, I bought both for 35! They are however very cute and very well made figures. For the lolicon in everyone these are must haves.

1/7 OS Idol Win-Chan Ver.2.0

ALERT! I’M AN IMPULSE SHOPPER! Once again HLJ wanted about $33 i got her for $20! WHY I BOUGHT HER? I DON’T KNOW MYSELF!!! But then thats why i’m selling her off on Ebay!

Revoltech Eva-04, Revoltech Yotsuba Koiwai

My two Revoltech figures. Now i know that people seem to love these. I however don’t enjoy joints. I will take a solid PVC figure over a jointed action figure any day. I bought the Eva-04 for sentimental reasons… (my brother names all the computer in the house hold, His two are Eva-00 and Eva- 01, out first family computer was Eva-02 and our second one was Eva-03, his three servers? you guessed it! The three Magi. So what did i get stuck with? Eva-04 of course!) I bought Yotsuba, well because it’s yotsuba! She’s an amazing character! I just had to have her! i will admit that i like how you can pose her and make her do crazy things. But I would still prefer a PVC figure of her to go with Fuka!

Lagann Impact Model

I almost wouldn’t have had the Lagann Model this year. Thanks HLJ for letting me get by on my bills by the skin of my teeth. I don’t exactly have the money right now to still be buying figures but i still had Lagann on my order list. Since he was back-ordered with no new shipment in sight i just assumed i wouldn’t get him till next year. Well i was wrong, just when i had no money left HLj decided to get one in stock and send it to little broke me. I was able to scrap some money together to pay from him and i’m thankful i got him! It’s an amazing model, iv’e been wanting it ever since i saw this image.

1/8 Yoko Ritona

Oh yoko, I Love Yoko so much they could release a horrible figure of her and i’ve still buy it, well unless its from atelier sai. But this is a great figure, best part? if you’re extremely careful… you can remove her top. Well not so much remove but put upwards. Word of warning though. Be extra careful, you can break it off. This is an awesome figure of Yoko but i’m going pre-maturely i’m going to say that i have a feeling that the new 1/7 Yoko will be a bit better than this figure. But for a Gurren Lagann lover like me, I’ll buy them all anyways!
