I adore finding figures I’ve been on the hunt for. I have this knack, I guess, of finding rare figures for amazing prices. I found this lovely Kotobukiya Yomiko Readman that I’ve been on the search forever now for $20 from Dirtybeast on Danny Choo’s Classifieds section.

The Classifieds section is really such an awesome idea since people can get rid of PVC beauties they no longer want, and people like me can find rare amazing ladies that others won’t cherish as much as I.

Ever since I saw R.O.D. back when I first got into anime, I’ve wanted this Yomkiko figure and sadly have only come across her when she was being sold at places that wanted way to much for her.

While Kotobukiya’s figure aren’t the best there are a few that i still want for my collection and a few that I’m willing to pre-order, but I’m not willing to pay a ridiculous price for them when i know they aren’t worth it.

So i kept putting off getting Yomiko since she always cost so much.

I didn’t get Yomiko here because she was an amazing figure but more because i liked her character and I liked R.O.D. If I were going to get her for her design and quality, I would have passed her up. She’s not really anything too special.

But i do like how she’s stepping on the paper on her base, so dainty and delicate.

She’s cast off, but really, it looks pretty bad. So bad that there is no point to pull off her skirt.

Plus the fact that she has no butt at all doesn’t make it too pleasing on the eye.

I do like how her coat sways to the side as if in motion.

Really again, Yomiko here was an impulse buy, but I don’t regret it at all since she was at such an amazing price and since I always liked Yomiko as a character. I do have to say that the Classifieds section has been an amazing thing for me personally, I’ve been able to sell off a few figures I didn’t want, and I’ve been able to get figures I’ve been wanting for a while now for amazing prices. So far, I’ve purchased 8 figures from members on Danny Choo’s website and each time it’s been a pleasant experience with all the people selling me their pre-loved ladies. Now it’s harder for me to pass up a good deal or an impulse buy with this system but then it’s also easier to have a place to prune my own collection and sell off some figures as well. For Yomiko, I don’t think she’ll be going back on the classifieds section anytime soon. She’s lucky I like her so much ^_~

I love impulse buys, especially when they are on sale! It’s so hard for me to resist a good sale on figures, and i love Hobby Search’s Figure Bargain! This time i got the Kotobukiya 1/6 Nekomiya Nono, I wanna say i got her for about half price and it wasn’t hard to pass up for sure! This is the second Kotobukiya figure I’ve gotten all year, first being a pre-loved figure Kawasumi Mai.

I stopped buying Kotobukiya figures since I bought so many of them on impulse, i ended up regretting a few of those purchases.

I’m actually really happy with her even though she was a full impulse buy.

Which really does lead my to believe that Koyobukiya has raised their standards when it comes to figures.

I will also have to say that i’ve been spoiled by the quality of Good Smile, Max Factory, Megahouse and Alter figures.

I think they did an amazing job on her this time around, no noticeable seem lines, no paint hiccups.

Her pose is really cute and her face is adorable.

My only complaint is that her eyes are glossy and that is a pain to take pictures of without having a glare…

I do believe she’s my first cat-girl figure. so i went all out with the yarn in the backdrop. Been knitting like crazy to make my friends and family scarfs for Xmas this year. So i had tons of yarn to choose from.

Isn’t technically panties really since it’s her swimsuit.

I really do like this figure overall, for an impulse buy I’m glad i got her. She’s really cute but i forgot how i don’t really buy many 1/6 figures so she seems HUGE compared to the rest of my figures. She’s very cute and very nicely detailed. I love the contrast between the Nekomimi and the Sukumizu. Now i know absolutely nothing of the series she’s from but if you like her character of just her overall design i’d get her. But maybe not for full retail price, but then Kotobukiya still isn’t my favorite figure company. I have to say if it weren’t for the sale on Hobby Search I wouldn’t have even bothered to buy her, but i’m glad i did in the end.
