Went to Sakura Con this past weekend, I haven’t impulsed bought a figure in a long time. But when I saw this Sheryl I knew I had to own her. If only for the fact that at the time I was cosplaying this exact outfit!

Lovely wavy hair!

A very plain base but the color works perfectly for this figure!

She’s a cheapish prize figure release by Banpresto. The quality is on par with sega prize figures so you know what kind of quality to expect.

My complaint is her mouth, the shading they did is horrible, it looks like she ate tons of cheetos right before and her whole mouth is orangy.

Also the shading on her shirt is a little too blue, it should be white.

Nice pink panties. It was funny as the first thing my boyfriend comments on is how my cosplay was inaccurate because I wasn’t wearing Pink panties. Silly boys!

Her eyes do look very vibrant and blue. She does get bonus points for having lovely eyes.

Her hat and her gun are also very cute and well detailed!

Its funny how most people I knew thought my shirt was wrong since it was so short, they kept trying to cover it with the vest, until I got the figure and showed them how her shirt is meant to be a crop top did they leave it alone!

Love her boots!

I love this Sheryl figure, but not as a figure collector but as a Sheryl fan. There are plenty of times that we buy figures based on characters we love, there are times we buy figures we love even though we have no idea where they’re from. But for me, there are rare times I buy a figure of lesser quality of a character I like unless it’s Yoko. I like this figure since the outfit is special to me. Otherwise I would never buy this figure, the quality is lacking and It’s not painted nicely on the face, yet I like her. Would I suggest her to you? Only if you are a huge Sheryl fan, or a Sheryl fan looking for a cheap figure. Yet if you want a higher quality Sheryl there are many more I would suggest to get instead.

Just got these in today from a friend who did some photo coverage of The Indecent Otaku comedy show at Anime Expo 2010 this year. I love these photos and sadly they’re the only good photos I have in this cosplay. Doing this show was really hard on me this year, so many things went wrong so quickly right before con and during con. I barely had a chance to sit and breathe or eat. Still I had a blast!

I thought while showing off these pictures I’d talk about The Indecent Otaku Comedy Show and my reasons why I won’t be doing the show anymore. It was a fun time when we did the first show back in ’09 with Anime-Diet with our group. But it was a lot of work and last minute things coming in. We tried to do the show again and not have last minute ideas, only ideas well rehearsed and well thought out this year, but sadly things didn’t go as planned.

We did have our videos, and guests planned out but still last minute with prizes things got hectic, we had so many issues with the raffle tickets, first not having enough, then having too much that ended up making the tickets so pointless that we had to throw out prizes into the audience, bad idea. Unless you were super tall you weren’t able to catch the prizes, I saw people hitting each other to get their hands on some of these figures and other prizes. It was honestly scary.

Not to mention my throwing arm is just horrible, as many of you who were in the audience noticed most of the prizes i threw kept going in the same direction, ACK! Plus we were so overwhelmed with Sponsor support that it became too many prizes to give out.

I’m not coming back to the show not because this show wasn’t successful or because of a falling out with any hosts. Heck Benu our second host is coming to my Birthday party this Saturday! He’s gonna do some magic for us! I’m only stopping the show since it stopped being fun this year. While it was amazing getting Danny Choo all the way over from Japan to come for our show and then also having him as a guest of honor, the show took it’s toll on me.

Normally AX Is a fun experience for me, meeting new people, scanning the exhibit halls over and over again till I’m absolutely poor beyond belief from spending all my money on figures. Catching as many concerts as I can, seeing fun interesting panels and more. This year? I spent so much of it in either my hotel room crying because I had no time to set up for the show and no one to help, or running around the convention like a chicken with no head trying to get things organized before the show on Saturday. It got to a point that the day of the show I was screaming at my best friends, yelling at cab drivers and on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and really I never let myself get like that and when we started our show we decided early on if it became “work” and “not fun anymore” we would quit, well it became work and wasn’t fun anymore. Heck I only got to go into the Exhibit hall once to look around and that was the last day about an hour before the convention closed, if you’ve ever gone shopping with me at a con you know I need at least 3 or so hours before I’m sure that I’ve seen everything and I know what I’m going to spend my money on.

I do hope that maybe one day someone will come back and do the show justice, make a comedy show that is entertaining, with live music, prizes and fun. But I’d rather be in the audience cheering them on then on stage doing the show. Not only that, with being on AX Live I’ll have tons of responsibilities of filming for AX during the convention and filming things for my own show Toybox, which coincidentally was supposed to air today but due to illness on our director/editors part it’s been postponed a week.

As for me, while I’ve been lacking in making new posts for you guys, I’m kicking things into gear now that this term for school is over, and I’ll make sure my class load next term isn’t so much that I’m kept from bringing figure reviews to you! Plus with AX Live, I’ve met so many wonderful people who collect figures as well who love lending them to me for review, so even if I can’t afford the latest and greatest figures they can and I’ll still be able to show you why I love this hobby so much! Meeting people who love the same thing you do, who understand why you love them so much and don’t think you’re crazy when you want to spend $800 on Dollfie Yoko!

On another note… Obligatory underboob shot for you guys. I figure I always give you guys the panty shots with figures, and the naughty parts, so it would be wrong to hide these from you…

I want you all to know, today on my 23rd birthday, I love you all. Between the bombardment on Facebook, Twitter, E-mail’s and MyFigureCollection messages of Happy Birthday to always the wonderful fans on AX Live’s chat during the show. You are why I still do this, that and because nothing can keep me away from owning the best and newest and prettiest awesome figures that are always being released! Wow! A new figure! Thank goodness for older brothers! My brother did a small trip to San Fransisco a few weeks ago and he brought me back an awesome present from Japan Town! The awesome Megahouse Ranka Lee Nyan Nyan version! We should all know by now how I’m a huge Macross Frontier fan, but then I’m a fan of Sheryl just a little more than Ranka, but of course since I’m such a fan I can’t pass up on either lady.

Just stunning quality, great smile, great pose. Her eyes are just vibrant and glowing!

Her apron is removable, and I really do like her without the apron more.

I love how it does come with the little buns and how detailed they are as well.

Love the open back, and how to dress just hugs her curves so perfectly.

Looks like Ranka isn’t cut out for a waiter, good thing her singing career took off.

It’s nice to have a new figure of my own, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten anything new for myself figure wise. Been able to save up little money here and there so I’ve got a few pre-orders in for some figures in the future but for now nothing like I used to. This Ranka is quite lovely, and for any fan of the series a must get, also for any fan of green haired girls, or girls in china dress, or just pretty girls!

I’ve been so broke as of late. No Money means no new figures, no new figures means no reviews for you. So while this is the only new figure i’ve gotten in a while, I’ll be going back into past figure purchases and reviewing them for the time being while i build up my funds for new figures. Unless there is anyone out there who would like to send me samples to review!

From my last post, I scraped up the little money I had and got the Miyuki X Sheryl figure. I have a special place in my heart for Sheryl Nome, not only because of my Cosplay. But also because she’s a character I felt I related to.

Miyuki Cosplaying as Sheryl Nome also made me feel a bit closer to her as well!

Looks like she had a good seamstress as well!

For just a prize figure, she really is well made.

A tad smaller than the Alpha X Omega Sheryl Nome, but she looks cute small next to Sheryl.

The glasses do distract a little bit and aren’t removable. If i were Miyuki i’d invest in some contacts for such an elaborate cosplay.

Her Pink hair does work for Sheryl.

Nice base design!

Her face really is just adorable!

I love this figure, well worth the money and I’d love it if more figure retailers took the time like Toylet to get these figures in stock! It’s so sucky for us in the U.S. or even anywhere not in japan to be able to get our hands on these figures!

Seems that Toylet has all our best interests at heart! How so? They’ve gotten the Banpresto Ichiban Kuji Lucky Star X Macross Frontier figures in stock! Went to Mikomicon a Sep. 19-20. Went for Traci Hines‘ and Makenai‘s concert ended up also having a blast with my cosplay. I wasn’t planning on cosplaying but with someone convinced me to and it ended up being a blast as i got this photoshoot while I was there.

I was also convinced to enter into the Masquerade which I did last minute.

I ended up winning the Judges award during the Masquerade, which was such a surprise since my little “performance” was just a complete improv and a blur. I personally still can’t see that video without dying of embarrassment but in the end it was a fun experience and it makes me want to do more things within cosplay and Masquerades at Conventions!

I might have to go out on a limb here, and say while I love all the Yoko figures, and all the figures I’ve gotten up until this point. This Sheryl might just be a new favorite figure of mine. Not only is she just an amazingly made figure, an awesome character from a show I really liked. It’s also a figure in an outfit I just recently cosplayed and loved!

My cosplay from this year’s Anime Expo ’09. I loved this outfit from Sheryl so much that i couldn’t help it and I had to cosplay her! So I have to admit i’m a tad bit biased towards this amazing figure!

This combo between Alter and Megahouse to create Alpha X Omega seems to be slowly becoming a powerhouse withing the figure game. They just keep releasing these amazing quality figures of some of my favorite characters!

Riding crop and all! don’t piss of Sheryl!

I just adore this outfit, it’s just the right amount of sexy without being too flashy!

Now you can barely tell, but if you look between her hair, you can see they even added in her Earring! Such a nice touch!

Now while I did cosplay this outfit, I didn’t cosplay what it turns into as you’ll see it gets a bit naughty from here on out. If you have sensitive eyes to half naked figures I’d turn back now!

You can remove the jacket and pants to reveal a very naughty version that she transforms into during her concert.

I’d want to hit up the gym a little bit more before I attempt to cosplay this version of Sheryl, so for now i’ll stick to keeping my clothes on.

Another reason why I cosplayed Sheryl, we are pretty close in size in the chest department.

Such amazingly short shorts, mine were a tad bigger for my own comfort.

Only anime characters or figures can make Buttcrack look sexy, on a regualr it just looks nasty.

Love the blond to pink transition on her hair. Sheryl’s hair never really stayed the same color throughout the show so it’s hard to decide which version if best/correct.

Very nice detail on the second mic. Maybe i need to repaint my own?

While Sheryl looks amazing in her short shorts and tube top, i personally prefer the blue concert outfit so it’ll rare to see her casted off while displayed here.

While i’ve admitted to being biased towards Sheryl, she truly is an amazing figure that deserves to be in everyone’s collection. That is if you can get your hands on her in time, she’ flying off the shelves like hotcakes! I highly suggest getting your own before it’s too late!

Almost fell behind again on my reviews. But Iwon’t let that happen again! Here we have the Lovely Ranka Lee, the Nose Art ver. There is an awesome limited edtion of Ranka with her proper Green Hair, but alas she was a bit too much trouble go to get. So I’ve settled for the off color design instead. That is unless i ever find the Green Haired ver.

Megahouse as always does amazing work, I tend not to own as many Megahouse figures since they tend to focus on Popular series and release more Bleach, and One Peice figures that i’ll never really bother with. But sometimes they release these beauties that you just can’t pass up on!

While Ranka was everyone’s favorite for the Moe factor, i’ve always been a bit more of a Sheryl fan.

Plus with Ranka’s DFC it’ll be a bit difficult for someone like me to cosplay her…

Love her base and how it’s the entire Nose Art.

While many people complain about the hair color, i actually like the Yellow since it fits closer to the original Nose Art.

While Ranka is lacking in the Chest Department, she’s got some backup in the Butt Deparment.

While Ranka is cast off it is a tad pointless since they covered her up, but then it’s much more fitting with the Nose Art.

This Ranka is my second Macross Frontier figure. Can’t wait for the Megahouse Sheryl since it’s of the same outfit I cosplayed a while back. We do need more figures of this awesome series, and that reminds me! I can’t wait for the movie to come out! Again this figure is just stunning, I love the off color style they gave her for this version. It’ll be nice if i can track down the Mail Order version but I’m in no hurry.

So I finally got all the kinks out of the last post from this cosplay. Of my Checklist i went above and beyond to get this cosplay 100% done and work out the small details that bugged me the most. First gonna apologize about the quality of these pictures, someone again messed with my camera and the ISO and White Balance were totally off and since my dad is the one who took the pictures and he doesn’t pay attention to those the pics didn’t come out as great as i wanted them to But I’m far too lazy to put it on again before AX to re-take pictures. Not sure if i mentioned it, this cosplay was made with the love and dedication of the girls of Cosplay Cute! Mostly Fancy India, she’s so amazing! Thanks a bunch!

Here also is my completed riding crop, i bought a black riding crop, cut off the handle and added in this wood piece my dad helped me make for the microphone part. I’m also glad i was able to get this out really well, i love a good prop and this is a prop that i felt really brought out so much more in this overall cosplay.

My Sheryl Nome Cosplay, from Macross Frontier, based on the outfit she wear’s during her concert on Frontier. I decide what cosplays I do for Anime Expo quite randomly, I eventually settled on this design because I already owned the boots and the shorts. I’m really glad I decided to do this outfit and I have to say I’m quite proud of the way it came out.

Here is the design that it’s originally based on, there are a few things I’m missing;

• White Gloves -CHECK!
• Riding Crop -CHECK!
• Black Choker -CHECK!
• Silver Wings for the Hat -CHECK!
• Buckles on the Pants -CHECK!
• Earings

but I should get getting them all soon within the next few weeks.

There are a few inconsistencies like the fact that I have gold buttons and not silver buttons, I don’t have blue eyes, and the silver buckle on the belt. But these things I’m really not that focused on changing. Contacts can be expensive since I need them with a prescription it would be costly so I’m not that focused on getting them but if i get my Settlement check for my Car Accident soon then I’ll go ahead and get the contacts. The belt I don’t really care to change but if i get enough people commenting that it’s terrible like this then I’ll try and go about changing it. The buttons I actually like in Gold rather than Silver, that’s my own personal preference. Hopefully there really isn’t anything noticeably wrong with the rest of the outfit. If you notice anything highly wrong let me know since i’ve still got time to fix things! BTW this cosplay was made with the love and support of the girls of Cosplaycute.com (the site’s down atm but it should be up soon!)
