As you may have seen  my room was recently featured not only on Dannychoo.com but also on Culture Japan! That makes me Super Duper Excited! I figured Danny was awesome in posting these pictures but who else to give you the guided tour but me!

Ok first off, I’m gonna tell you the truth… IT’S NEVER THIS CLEAN! I’m so your typical otaku and sadly a bit of a slob, there normally is a huge hamper overflowing with clothes, and the bed usually has either clean clothes that needs to be put away, my purse, laptop and more.

This little bench is a new addition to my room and I adore it, mainly since all these plushies used to sit on the bed and when I went to sleep they’d go on the floor. Now why did it suck having top put them on the floor? Because then I’d be too lazy to do my bed and put them back on so I’d have a huge pile of plushies and pillows on the floor for weeks. This way now I just move the Dakimakuras over to the side of sit them on my chair and I’m good to go!

Good thing some friends didn’t see these pictures before hand, on the very top the blue box and Azunyan were Christmas gifts that I hadn’t wrapped yet! Also some remnants of my messy room on the book case with random crap all around the bookcase.

The view from my desk of the rest of my room, you can’t see it but right outside the door is a lamp I need to throw out, like 15 pairs of shoes and tons of dirty clothes that needed washing, oh how I love the illusion that my room can be so clean! Now to just maintain it clean since I took these pictures, so far I’m doing a good job!

These are figures that actually don’t fit in my case, I like to leave figures that are from the same series grouped together and they are all just a little too awkward to fit in any one of my cases, but yet I do like them on the wall.

My two figure cases, I do love them but neither are the best for figures. What I’d truly love would be a proper glass curio cabinet. The detolf has too much wasted space for 1/8th scale figures and the other one with it’s dark color and only have glass on the front makes some figures seem hidden in the background. But you take what you can get! As well as much as i adore my closet door covered in posters I’d rather have them be Mirrors so I can then remove a stand up mirror and replace it with yet another Detolf for incoming figures!

Top of the case has more plushies and other knickknacks I’ve collected, some adorable piggies my aunt bought for me, my steampunk goggles, my old camera body for the Canon Rebel XSi, plenty more Disney Plushes, a few lenses, and a lamp.

You can’t see it well here but the flag is signed by the character designer for Gurren Lagann and the director. I sadly didn’t get to get it signed by Konish this year at Anime Expo since I ended up being a little busy :’(. One day I’ll get it signed!

My small but slowly growing movie/anime collection. It contains mostly Disney Movies as I’m trying to collect every Disney animated Feature, I even have Song of the South, sadly a Chinese bootleg since it was never released to home video since it was deemed too racist. I however love it since an old family friend’s father who I grew p with would sing the songs from the film and it brings back good memories for me. Little known Disney fact is that Splash Mountain is based of the film Song of the South.

I have a few plushies here as well, I’m very picky when it comes to pluhies but still love them, sadly many are bootlegs.

Dollfie Yoko, we all know i finally got my hands on her but sadly she won’t be in her default outfit for a while. I was warned it would stain and it did. Going to start to process of stain removal but at least now she’s in a white dress that hopefully won’t stain.

You can see all the mess under my small photo studio. It’s filled with papers for backgrounds, props and camera equipment.

My desk, again normally not this neat. Even as I type this I have a few soda cans, some business cards, scissors and more. If asked what would my New Year Resolution would be? It would be to make sure I post more often here, and it would be to make sure my room looks this clean! I’ll do my best! Also last Wednesday we aired the Official Trailer for Toybox on AX Live! I still love Yoko, even though I’m broke, i can’t bring myself to cancel my Yoko orders. Finding money whenever I can to keep up my addiction I feel like a crack addict! Except Yoko is much more fulfilling!

While It’s not just Yoko in my collection, I’ve also got a Kamina figure and Simon figure.

Also have Kamina and Simon plushies.

Can’t seem to get my hands on a Yoko Plushie but i’ll find one eventually!

Both Frauleins and the Nendo as well! Still need to get my hands on Dolfie Yoko. But that will either take months of saving on my part, of month of begging the boyfriend to get her for me!

Also still getting the Sega Yoko and Nia figures. While poor in quality I still get them since i’m well… obsessed with Gurren Lagann and not getting them just doesn’t make sense to me. But then when it comes to favorite series of mine all my logic is thrown out the window!

I’m always on the lookout for new Yoko figures but mostly PVC figures. I do get plenty of people e-mailing me asking me if i purchased such and such resin modle of Yoko. I Won’t be going into resin models of Yoko anytime soon since that would be even much more taxing on my poor wallet. I’d love to get some of the figures that are out there but It would maybe be a little too much by then! For now i’m sticking to PVC, Nendos and Action figures.

So i would have normally waited a year to re-post this. But i had to now since I’ve just done a huge remodel. I got a new bed, Upgrades from a Twin sized to a Queen. Then got two new pieces of furniture for my figures, but then ended up just using one for figures and the other for some figures and art books. I’m pretty excited about my room, it’s nice and fancy now and feels much more adult like, other than the figures, posters, pink walls, stuffed animals and did i mention figures? In the first picture you can see my cousin’s baby Valeria, I love this little girl like crazy, she’s just so adorable!

The side of my door is the same as before, so not too much change in some places.

Here is where it starts changing up from how it used to be. Instead of having my bed along this wall it’s now in along another wall. Here i lined up all my bookcases and some of my figures.

Haruhi figures get a shelf all to themselves. This is most likely where i’ll also put the New Extravaganza ver. of Haruhi once i get my hands on her! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I Put all my Gurren Lagann Figures together as well. I felt like it just wouldn’t be right if figures from the same series weren’t together.

I originally had this furniture on teh left filled with figures but moved them and decided to put my art books there instead. But knowing myself it’ll end up filled with figures again.

I’m so behind on my manga buying, i haven’t gone to the bookstore in forever. Maybe i’ll make a trip out there after this next payday and get all caught up!

I had got Mitsuki the other day and was sad that i couldn’t find Haruka anywhere. But my best bud Deftoned from Tea Shop Beloved sold her to me! I love pre-loved figures!

When i moved my bed from the wall and replaced it with my bookcases they ended up blocking multiple posters, so i moved them to behind my figures here. I think it looks pretty cool, plus ti gives me plenty more space for my posters.

It’s kinda nice to see my figure shelves with space for more figures. But then it makes me want to go and buy more…

My new and HUGE bed! I love this! Now we just bought the mattress but my dad built the bed for me today. That’s another reason i posted this now. I’m still super excited about my new room!

I always keep some of my favorite figures on the shelf over my desk. I love having Alice just stare down at me.

My mom bought this bucket for my cousin’s school in mexico of letters so she can decorate her classroom, so i popped it open and grabbed a few a letters for myself. So i decided to put that over my work area… Aren’t i lame…

Here is my new indoor photo studio, before i just had a few lamps on top of a few cardboard boxes. But i got this to store my extra lenses and some other stuff.

My figma collection. I keep buying them and i have to say i really love them. I also have one Fraulein revoltech but i don’t think i like them as much really.

This is sometimes i’ve also been very excited about. I do regret to mention that my great aunt who i’ve mention in the past here and here. She had pasted about a little more than a month ago of leukemia. It’s been really tough on all of us and i still didn’t have the heart to mention it here. But it’s been a lot of going to and from LA and cleaning out her house, but she knew i always admired this piece of furniture so she left it to me. It’s nice since it’s a memento of the time i sent with my aunt, and nice since i wanted one so badly and now don’t have to worry about buying on myself.

It fits everything in it perfectly.

I was considering changing the shelves to glass shelves and putting a mirror in the back, but now seeing it all filled i like it just as is.

So i’m going to take you into the one place sadly most of you boys have never been, a girls room… Specifically mine! I’ve seen some people post about their room, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do the same.

To the right of my door, are a few posters, and one actual painting/poster. On the top is a Chobits poster i got long ago when i first started getting into anime. Under it is this poster of some artwork I’ve had for about forever. I don’t know what it’s from or who is the artist, i just know that it’s been in my room since i was a little girl and i love it. I used to have it by my bed and i would stare at it for hours just admiring the art when i was younger.

The licence plate is a gift from my dad from his first trip back to France after 20+ years a few years ago. Nanny is my nickname among my family, my family always called me Frannie when i was a baby since my name is Frances. One day when i was three years old i walked up to my dad when he had called me Frannie and said “No Daddy! It’s not Frannie! It’s Nanny!” It stuck and I’ve been Nanny ever since. There is also a Sailor Moon Sailor Stars poster, Seiya FTW! Then my AX Badges from AX ’06 and ’07.

Over the aria posters is one Ai Yori Aoshi Poster i’ve also had for a while. I always liked the Art for the anime over the manga for this series.

I’ve got a few Wall Scrolls on this side of my room. The Giant Haruhi one i got off of eBay, the Chobits one was a gift from my older brother when he started collecting wall scrolls and i was jealous, he does have some awesome Wall Scrolls. An echii Full Metal Panic Wall scroll, while my mom is pretty cool about me having figures and such she didn’t really approve of this wall scroll.

I found this amazing UFO Princess Valkyurie Poster ax AX ’07 for $1.00! Can you beleave it! Last one too, i wonder why this series wasn’t really popular, come on loli’s, magical transformations, aliens. Whats not to love! I’ve had that koala bear Lamp as well since i was a little girl, I’m also a big disney fan, love Monsters Inc, and The Little Mermaid. See my litter collection of Boo dolls, plus more Aria Posters.

This is where i sleep. Can you tell i like The Little Mermaid? My brother’s girlfriend gave me that awesome pillow with kero-chan sleeping.

Two more Wall Scroll, Death Note and Card Captor Sakura. I’m thinking of getting rid of the Death Note one but then i like the art. I may be “over” Death Note but i can still say i honestly liked the manga art.

A small, small portion of my plushie/stuffed animal collection. I’ve got boxes and boxes of them from when i was little in my closet and i switch them around from time to time.

This is Part of of my figure Display, i still need plenty more Shelves but i’m waiting till hopefully next paycheck to get them. I don’t like how cluttered they look right now so once i get more shelves i’ll space them out a bit better.

I’ve got so many figures I don’t have enough space on the shelves i got for these figures. This is some of my manga collection, i used to buy like 10-15 a month but now it’s rare since i’m broke, plus figures take up the majority of my time and money.

More figures, more manga. Also if you can see on the second shelve, the green CD, thats the Indigo cd i got signed at the geneon booth at AX ’06. I’ve also got a set of clow cards, now i just need some magical powers, and a real Kero-chan.

My other Card Captor Sakura wall scroll, plus my smaller shelf reserved for my newest/favorite figures at that time being.

Makoto, Fauna and Alicia are my newest figures and Haruhi and Mahoro are some of my favorites. But all of my figures are my favorites ^_~.

This is where all the magic happens, I spend the majority of my time sitting here, talking to people online, watching anime, blogging, reading blogs. I’m addicited!

To the right of my desk are some posters, and two windows. The small Card Captor Sakura Wall Scroll to the left is only there temporary till i find a better spot for her. You can see the Kamina art i got at AX last year from the Aritist alley, a small Card Captor Sakura poster i printed out for myself, the tickets under the window some of the AX Concerts last year, S.K.I.N., Anna Tsuchiya, Oreskaband, and Sos Brigade. There are also two more tickets one for the Jersey boys and the other for Mamma Mia. <3 Frankie Valley and the 4 Seasons and I double <3 Abba! (The abba love should be obvious, Ie. Dancing Queen) I also made the Haruhi Window shade myself, i still need one for the other window but not sure of what to make it from.

Better View of some of the posters on this side of my wall. The Anna Tsuhciya poster i got at her concert last year at AX. The Dragon something poster was free, I have no clue what it’s from but i just liked the art. Also is my Maison Ikkoku poster, I was so lucky i found this! It was burried at this one anime stores poster section, in the clearance. Some people have no appreciation for good anime…

More posters here as well, the big Haruhi poster i got at the DVD launch in Anime Jungle in Little Tokyo. It’s signed by the ASOS Brigade and i’ve got another if someone wants to buy it! I also got them both laminated so they are in awesome condition! More Little Mermaid Art on my wall, a Bleach poster i got from AX ’06. My varsity letter for Dance back in High School, and two more self made posters one from Nanatsuiro Drops and the other from Gurren Lagann.

A messier section of my room, on the bottom left are my school books that i’m going to be selling in order for moneys to buy more figures. Found that Card Captor Sakura poster at the same anime store i found the Maison Ikkoku poster. It’s a poster promoting the release of the Card Captor Sakura Game Boy Color game. More Manga, another self make Gurren Lagann Poster, some flamenco dancer figures my mom got me from spain, and my crazy damn fish.

This is my fish, she’s damn crazy. Thats why her named is “Crazy Damn Fish.” I’m really creative! (please note the sarcasm)

My lamp, i’ve decorated it as you can see and the light bulbs all got too hot and burned through the shades they had covering them. I got the Minnie Mouse from Disneyland at the store at the exit of It’s a Small World. The Sumomo Plushie was a gift from my brother again, he was so excited when i started getting into anime since he finally had someone to talk to about his new passion.

My closet, it’s a little bare and needs a few more posters but i’m working on it. The Kamina poster looks like crap since it was a customer poster that came out badly, so i just kept it myself. Waste not want not. Same with the Code Geass poster but i would feel like a waster if i threw it away.

The little Mermaid posters came with the DVD release a few years ago when you pre-ordered it at the disney store. I got them laminated since they were so awesome! In the middle is a small bulliten board thingy, Top left is a photo of my mom when she was younger, the black and white photo is me with an ex-friend of mine, hopefully one day we’ll reconcile. Beside that is me in the fifth grade with my dog jady the day we got her, she was soooooo small! and a coupon for something at Bath and Body works, i’m addicted to that place.

I’ve even got posters behind my monitor, but then they were more visible when i had a laptop. I’m just too lazy to go and move them. Also I herd yu liek mudkips… (no i’m not a /b/tard)

I’m planning on getting more shelves for figures and they are going here on this bare spot on the wall.

And this Card Captor Sakura wall scroll is being moved so can add more shelves here as well.

SO that is my room in a nutshell, I always find it interesting when people talk about peoples parents freaking out about owning figures. My parents like to show my room off to anyone is coming by for a visit. They like to do Tours of the house and show off all of our rooms. They love showing mine off as the pepto bismol room as my dad calls it since my room is also painted pink, hopefully you can see it from the photos. People reactions are always different, from people noticing mostly the little mermaid stuff, to people asking me why i have naked girls on my wall. I simply reply “oh yeah, i’m into anime a little bit.”

I have no shame in my collection and i’m always willing to explain to people why i love anime so much and why i go so far in my collecting of anime and anime related merchandise. I think mostly my parents view this as a phase, like the time my sophmore year of high school that i was absolutely obsessed with Orlando Bloom, I’ve even got a card board cut out of him. He’s now under my bed hidden away from view.
