When Toylet announced they were having a sale and since i already had Needa on the way i just knew i had to snag Rize as well. So this means that now i only am missing Char out of the entire Shuraki set. Now i knew that many many people had problems with Rize and her base, I felt that i’ll still get her for the sake of getting the entire set and the fact that she was on sale i’ll still get her. I thought “I’ll be extra careful and hopefully she won’t break.” Was i so wrong.

The peg just broke off so easily and I barely touched her. It was just too delicate to hold her properly, looks like i’m gonna have to glue her to the base to prevent any further damage.

Rize does have at least an adorable face, love the matching eyes and hair yet i feel the entire blue theme is a bit overkill.

It could have used some more red accents on her overall design but then it does go together well.

Rize was a purchase to solely push me towards completing the set of the Shuraki figures. Toylet’s sale really pushed me to get it since i can’t pass up a deal! Overall her cute face is what i like the most, her outfit could have been better and the blue as i mentioned is a bit overkill with the blue eyes, hair and complete dress. The red, white and gold accents help but not much. I’m frustrated about the base but i did expect it since it has happened to so many other people. So far this year my Impulse buys have been good ones that while impulse were still given some serious thought and I’m glad i got them all and Rize is no exception. even with her faults she’s still very nice and if you do like blue then she’s the perfect girl for you!

I had gotten 4 figured from DC Member DirtyBeast. This is the 4th that i had gotten in that shipment again for $20. All the figures sold were $20 to they went fast and i knew i had no time to hesitate and i had to snag them all up fast. While i liked all the other figures i purchased Needa was the real reason i went for the splurge of the figures.

This getting used figures really has helped me get some amazing figures and for amazing prices. Sadly right now i’m really broke and if someone put up some amazing figure for sale even if it were for very little money i’d have to pass unless I can sell a kidney or two. With my recent trip to Mexico and the fact that hours are getting short at work my last paycheck was significantly less so i have to cut back on luxuries such as food, water, paying bills and such. No seriously maybe i need to cut back and buy less figures… NOT! Nah i just need to make up the hours at work and then i’ll be all good! I’m already getting started this weekend by working someone else’s shift!

Sadly Needa is the last of the figures i got for $20, hopefully someone else (when i have money again) sells amazing figures for that cheap again!

When I found out my parents were planning this trip to the snow, I knew I had to go and take full advantage of the beautiful scenery i’d have. I thought about all my figures and the first one that came to mind was also the most obvious of needing a snow backdrop, that was Good Smile Company’s first of the Shuraki Series; Akatsuki Mishiro.

I had never planned on buying any of the figures in the Shuraki series, until i saw a few reviews of Meifeng Liu, the third of the shuraki series I knew i had to start getting them.

When the Shuraki series first came out i still had my rule of only geting figures of characters i liked and series i knew of. Sice i knew nothing of the Shuraki series i didn’t even bother when they announced the pre-orders.

After i got Meifeng Liu and saw just how awesome she was i knew i had to make an effort to get the rest. The second one to jump into my collection was Akatsuki Mishiro.

I was able to snag her at Anime Expo ’08 at this one booth where the vendor was nice enough to let me pay with her with a credit card when he didn’t have the system set up to pay with a credit card.

Now i only have two of the Shuraki figures but between Akatsukiand Meifeng i’d haev to say Meifeng is the harder to cast off and atatsuki is much easier to cast off.

Even though i like ehr ripped clothes look i tend to leave both of them full clothed.

She does have a very badass look on her face, like she’s so ready to kick som butt.

while she herself has a very nice heiney.

The torn clothes look seems to always be broken in all the right spots.

She is as all the Shuraki figures full cast off as well. Well not full since she still has her undies on.

Only thing I notice is that her arms fall off easily when she doesn’t have her shirt one holding them in place.

I love how the parts where she comes apart is at natural seams so it doesn’t look like she comes apart unless you pull on her.

Except you can see it a bit on her back here since she was just about to fall apart here at this moment.

There really wasn’t anything uber special about Akatsuki that called to me other than the fact that i wanted to complete the shuraki set, but i’ve still got a few to get. I am still very glad i was able to get my hands on. Plus for a good price as well. Looks like Akatsuki might have been the least popular of the set since she’s still in stock in many online stores compared to say Char Rhousemann who is now impossible to find. I’ve got Nida coming in soon enough and i know of a few stores i can get Rizfis Luttiva Mente so it’s only Char who is avoiding me but i’ll get my hands on her soon enough ^_~. I’m really happy with how these pictures came out, the scenery was just so amazing and i was lucky enough to be able to walk out far enough to find a place where the snow as still untouched.I’m glad i waited till we got to actual snow to take her pictures. She really looks much better in her own enviornment than any other place I could have put her.

Got my Good Smile Company 1/8 Meifeng Liu #2 of the Shuraki series today, and I am a happy camper! She is so amazing!! When I first saw images of her when she was being announced i didn’t even bother looking into what she was from, since i had a strict rule at the time of only buying figures from series i know and of characters i like. That was my way of stopping my impulse buys, but i just kept looking at photo shoots people had done when they first got their hands on this PVC goddess. I started wanting her more and more and i started looking into the shuraki series. I eventually gave in to my wants and ordered her through Kid Nemo Company and i got her today!

The Detail is spectacular, and i wouldn’t expect any thing less from Good Smile Company. From her hair all the way down to her shoes, nothing was overlooked and she’s just so well made.

Now i have to admit one thing, i agree whole heartedly with shino about how hard it is to do Cast off with her. I was so terrified that i was going to break her while i was removing her top. But after a good hour of playing with her i think i got the hang of the cast off deal. But there were some times i was wondering why i bought her in the first place. But then after she was all set up i remembered why i got her… BECAUSE SHE LOOKS AMAZING!!!

Now this is only a teaser shoot that i did at my bf’s house with his crappy camera, i’ll be doing a full shoot later this weekend hopefully.
