Such a day! Went to my brother’s place to take some pictures, but he got in a pissy mood and kicked us out. So my dad was so mad he decided to take us to the beach, which was very good since I was planning on doing a shoot with these Yoko figures at the pool and instead got the beach! Which is really just so much better than a silly pool!

Of course i have both versions of this Yoko figures, first we are starting with the regular edition of the Wave Swimsuit Yoko. I was just so excited when they announced the PVC of this figure. I always loved the resin kit they made of her and to find out that I could own her myself in PVC form i was just super excited!

Such a cute face and I adore this pose! It’s a nice sculpt and while there are noticeable seam lines since ti’s Yoko I’ll forgive it.

This figure isn’t all that great compared to regular figures. If she weren’t Yoko i might not like her, however she is Yoko so I love her!

I of course was going to get both, but if you ask me to choose I’d say Limited, I adore the tan lines. It seams so much more realistic since there is no way for her to walk around everywhere in her regular skimpy attire  and not have some form of tan lines.

I love how she holds her shorts and belt. Small things like that are what i adore in figures like these.

I’m not entirely happy with this shoot, I was in a bit of a hurry since my parents were hungry and it was cold and I only noticed once it was too dark and too late that I really only took these from one angle. You can’t really see much and it frustrates me. I’ll most likely go and re-shoot these so you can see much better angles on these lovely Yokos. I also didn’t realize the settings were changed when my brother’s friend had played with my camera and the ISO was set at a terrible setting for this kind of shoot. I have s habit of leaving my camera exactly where i like ti and then someone changes it and i forget to check and change it back. >_< Otherwise you’ll have to take my word that these both Yoko figures are simply wonderful. Now you do have to take in full consideration how biased I am towards Yoko. So minor flaws that would be pointed out and criticized in normal figures go overlooked when it comes to Yoko. If you are looking for a Yoko Swimsuit figure she’s the one to get. If you are looking for Yoko in General there are a few other choices you could get that would be better. Or if you are just as die hard a fan as I am then you must ow these two!

Showing off my Gurren Lagann figure collection that i have so far. So far the count is Eight Yokos, One Kamina, One Simon/Lagann, and two Kotobukiya Models. It’s still not as epic as it should be but i do have more coming, with 11 Yoko’s pre-ordered and 2 Nia figures.

I get people linking me different Yoko figures and asking me if I’m going to get them, so I decided to clear it up a bit. While I love Yoko I won’t be getting any resin kits from E2046.com or gashapons. I try and get any figures that are Scaled PVCs and if they are Japan only now that I’ve discovered Tenso.com looks like I’ll be able to get my hands on more Yoko figures.

I’ve done a review of everything shown here other than the Kotobukiya Models and the Kaiyodo Fraulien Revoltech.You can find all my reviews here. I might do a review later of the Fraulien Revoltech, but not the Models since those need to be painted and I can’t paint at all sadly… While i’m still getting Yoko figures I’m still up for getting other characters. Of course anything Kamina, Simon, Dary, Nia anyone really! I’m a sucker for my Gurren Lagann Merch!

My 5th and 6th Yokos out of my Entire collection of Gurren Lagann Figures, Wave’s Space Yoko, Normal and Limited Editions. Now you may be wondering why both? Well simple, I’m crazy and i want all the yoko figures there are and that will be made. So far i own a total of 7 Yoko figures and have 8 pre-ordered and am waiting on 2 more to be released on pre-order.

First off we have the regular edition Yoko, she comes with a white cape and complete leggings.

Next we have Limited Edition Space Yoko, as you can see her cape is clear and her legging stop at her thigh

Now both Yokos are practically the same, other than the small color differences. Yet i still prefer the Limited Edition to the regular edition Yoko. Not only does the leggings that stop at the thigh just look nicer, they gave her a more Pearl color instead of White like they did for Regular Edition Yoko. The heads and faces are exactly the same just the body differs. Yet i still love having the both of them side by side, yet it’s always interesting to explain to friends and family why i have two of the same figure. I was not a fan of this version of yoko to begin with, in the series once they did the time skip and she got her Space Look i just hated it, i felt it made her look older but in a bad way. I also felt that the style wasn’t flattering on Yoko’s amazing body but it’s been growing on me. I will say that Wave did an excellent job of capturing the essence of yoko’s character and body shape and made a terrible outfit look flattering on her. I’m starting to re-think Wave’s figure quality now, before i would have stayed away but having two Yokos was too much to pass up. Wave is slowly but surely making a name for itself among the big boys in the Figure Industry and if they keep this up they’ll be someone to look out for when it comes to amazing figures. Now if you had to ask me if you only wanted one which to get? I’d have to say hands down the Limited Edition. But if you’re a Diehard fan like myself? You have to get both as well!

This is my first ever wonfes original figure! I always felt that i was never going to get a wonfes figure unless I was at wonfes itself. I didn’t feel the point to spend $200-300 for one figure. I may love certain figures but having to pay so much from a random seller on eBay is just highway robbery! Luckily i was able to find Tokyo Hunter’s eBay store. Selling wonfes original figures for non-ridiculous prices!

I’m in love with this figure, biggest reason being i felt this was going to be the only Yoko figure i couldn’t get my hands on!

Now i don’t won many wave figures but the detail really surpassed my expectations.

My favorite detail of this figure is her strap on her gun, it’s adjustable! So it was much easier to place on her to get her to hold it.

I love her smiling face as well!

The proportions on this Yoko are really good as well.

Seriously what a great body, I’m jealous!

They also did a good job with the under boob. There is a terrible line on Enterbrains’s Yoko’s under boob. But it looks great here.

For such a sexy figure, it looks so sweet with that nice smile of hers.

Even the backside looks so amazing on this Yoko.

I love the gun on this Yoko so much! Best part is i didn’t break it and she can hold it!

I like the detail on the bottom of her shoes!

I adore the gun on this figure! You can just see even the different texture of the gun.

Out of all the figures Yoko has the best rack, hands down!

Even the zipper on the boots looks so great! Nothing but positives on this figure!

The base looks so cool! Gurren Dan Logo! Row Row Fight Da Power!

I can’t say enough how much i love this figure, there are almost no negatives! My only problem is her neck doesn’t close right, but the scarf  covers it fine so then there is no problem for me. Paint is great, pose is cute, love her face, no noticeable seam lines. If only Wave mass produced this figure. She’d be super popular!

She looks amazing! and i cannot wait to get my hands on her myself! She’s a 1/8 scale and will be released January of 2009 for 5460 yen. Not a bad price really for this amazing amazing figure!

Wow first Macross PVC Figure and it isn’t Ranka! Not that i don’t like Ranka, I <3 Ranka unlike a certain deftoned i know… But this is refreshing to see a Kuran Kuran figure instead.

This Wonfes has been making me cream my pants and i’m drooling up a storm. I can honestly say that I will never have money saved up ever again if these figure companies keep announcing these amazing figures. Last but not least, Rin and Len Figmas. Maybe PVCs will come soon after since Miku is got the Pvc, figma and Nendo treatment.
