Hopefully today is my last day being sick, i finally went to the doctors and got some awesome cough meds so i should be back to work tomorrow. Once again boredom took over and i did another shoot today. I did Fuka and Yotsuba today since i noticed there aren’t many reviews of either online. Both are real simple figures, neither awesome stand out, but i liked the Yotsuba the manga so much i just had to own them both. Plus the fact that both were pretty inexpensive was a huge plus.

This is really the only picture i took that i liked of Yotsuba. I’m not a fan of joins and they just stood out like a sore thumb in all the pictures.

Fuka’s design is quite simple. Nothing about her honestly screams sexy, but then thats Fuka. She’s not supposed to be sexy but more of the girl next door who is your friend and not an object of lust.kinda makes me feel bad for her?

I really liked this setting with the rocks but it was hard posing fuka in the rocks so i moved her to the same place i took pictures of Kotori but a little more over to the side.

Yotsuba decided to join in on the fun but she never stood still! She’d keep popping into the frame while i was taking pictures.

She just jumped in whenever she felt like! Oh that silly Yotsuba!

—final thoughts—
While i like both figures, unless your a fan of the series i wouldn’t recommend them. I don’t like the joints in Yotsuba, and posing (at least for me) had been quite difficult. It’s hard to keep her siting in one pose without gravity moving her down and falling over. Fuka is well made, no problems with paint and such. but the pose is boring, and nothing just pops out about her saying “OMG YOU HAVE TO OWN ME!” I got her for two reasons A.) Price was good, and B.) I liked her character. Other than that i wouldn’t have bothered getting her in the first place.

On Friday i woke up covered in bug bites, no idea what from but they weren’t pretty bad. But Saturday when i woke up instead of the bites going down they got worse, it looking like i was covered in boils. I had a feeling that maybe i shouldn’t go to work since i looked like i had got the plague, and that it might be a better idea to go to the doctor’s instead. So i drive about 20 miles to go to my doctor only to discover that on Saturday they only do urgent care and even though i’m a regular patient it’s going to cost me $98 just to see her. So that was a bust, but luckily my parents were going to Mexico to pick up my grandmother (yes she is the devil.) Well in Mexico you don’t go to the doctor, you go to the pharmacy, show them what you got, they give you drugs, then you get better! ok well maybe not like that but thats what we did, my mom drags me in by the arm goes “I need something for this!”then proceeds to shove my arm in the lady’s face, the lady then gives my mom some creams and pills.

So now i’m all better! ok back to the topic at hand my lovely figures!

I’m pretty happy with Yotsuba, i know people love these revoltech figures but i think i still would have preferred a PVC figure instead. It is fun to play with her and make her do different poses but then it’s a pain to change out her hands and head, all in all i do like her very much.

I’m very happy with yoko! She’s amazing and pretty badass, her face seems a bit off and the hair color on the promotional shots is way off, but i do like her a whole bunch!

I had a bit too much fun playing with her top, as you’ll see in the next picture.

Now this new figure by Kaiyodo is still debatable in my book for pre-order. I won’t lie, she’s a great character in this series and it would be nice to have both her and Yotsuba together. But do I really need her? I guess once she is out for pre-order I’ll pre-order her since it’s for Nov and I have only one other figure for that month. Lately I’ve been really good in deciding which figures I want and which to get. Before I would have about 4 pre-orders for each month. But now I feel I make better choices in my figure selections.

The main reason why I’m being much more selective is of two reasons.

1.) Lack of money

Now normally this isn’t really a problem, I just save up the money for the figures I’m planning to get, but with rent, and food and gas it’s getting to be harder each time.

2.) I sadly regret some of the figure choices I’ve made

When I first started buying figures I didn’t really pay much attention to detail. I ended up buying a few nasty figures, just for the sake of having them. Like the Few Atelier Sai figures I have like 1/6 Asahina Mikuru Red Bunny, 1/6 Chidori Kaname White Inner, 1/6 Haruhi Suzumiya Black Bunny, and 1/6 Teresa Testarossa Race Queen Yellow (Inner White). They aren’t the greatest Quality figures. The FMP figures are out of character, and the Haruhi figure’s face just doesn’t look right.

Now back on the topic, I do like this figure. The price isn’t much either 2,600 yen so I guess I’ll have no problem affording it. At least HLJ lets you cancel orders so if I change my mind or a better figure comes out I can cancel it easily.

The Only problem is i can’t just get one, i had to pre-order another for my brother since he loves Yotsuba just as much as i do. But with it’s 1,805 yen price I have no problem paying for two!
