So unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve heard that Danny Choo linked to me the other day when i posted about my room. Lots of people have been asking me how did it affect my stats. Did it jump up dramatically? or was it still about them same?
I have to say ever since I’ve had a steady stream of people coming in to take a look at my blog. When i had my blog at Dancingqueendq.wordpress.com i had a good amount of views per day. It was steadily climbing and i was getting about 600 views on average a day. Then once i changed over to How a girl figures and Howagirlfigures.com it dropped a bit since i guess wordpress didn’t always link it back to the new URL, then people got the idea and my viewership started to do a steady climb. From 500-600 views a day to 1,000-1,200 a day. But now with Danny linking me it shot up to almost 4,000 views in one day. Even still with that post not on Danny’s front page I’m still getting a ton of hits a day. I guess people just didn’t know i existed. What’s best about Danny linking me isn’t that just that post got read, but since his target readers are my target readers they ended up taking a look around. Not only looking at that post then leaving, but looking at older posts, looking at the Figures section and such. I also have to admit i got my first ever negative comment. More of a troll than anything else this person claimed I’m gay for not having enough boys plastered on my wall… But as Benu from Anime Genesis told me, if someone is leaving negative comments it means your doing something good. And it means that even though they may have hated my blog and my post, the took their time to look around and leave me a comment. Yes it was a terrible comment lacking English and grammar skills. But if i see a blog and i don’t like it i just don’t go back, i don’t leave nasty comments.
As you can tell for my stats when i had just started my blog through my own domain and server the hits were kinda low. But once i started making at least one post a day i got more and more hits a day. But then you see how on the 19th my stats just jumped up like crazy. It’s the best day i’ve ever had on my blog! Even the next few days afterwards my stats have still been pretty awesome.

Wordpress does link back to your blog…my bookmark “dancingqueendq.wordpress.com” sends me to your blog. I think that initial drop in views is because you’re no longer featured on the “tags/categories” section.

if you want to track hits per post, I recommend you to use WP-PostViews plugins

But still…..WOW!!! 4000 hits a day!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!
Maybe if I do something super crazy, maybe Danny will like back to me…
On the net, there are people they we don’t know existed…

Ahhh, that’s the one thing I hate most about starting anew. I USED to be able to pull in those kinds of numbers then I drop off the face of the blogosphere and come back to squat. Ahhh, I’m starting to lose the passion for numbers and just hope that people read my stuff, you know? Good job, by the way, though.

That’s some impressive traffic you got there.
To think I got excited when I had 17 hits the other day. lol
Well no blog, and relatively uninteresting at the moment for me. I am still new to it all and trying to think of way to make my blog more interesting and not being a total copy cat and just rehashing news people already found on the big boy sites like japanprobe, akibanews and *gasp* danny choo. =D
