When it comes to anime there are some series that stick with you, there are some that you liked but never really just cross your mind again, and there are gateway series. When I was younger and just started watching anime a series that I had seen in the early years was Maburaho.
I don’t remember much about Maburaho other than that I did enjoy it and it’s silliness. Wasn’t the best series ever made and when I started collecting figures it wasn’t so memorable enough to find a Maburaho figure.
So the other day when I went to Small Wonders and spotted this Yuna figure I was blown away, I didn’t even know they made Maburaho figures.
Now Yuna here is a pretty old figure, released in 2004 I’m so amazed that I even found her!
For an old figure and even for a Chara-Ani figure her detail is pretty good.
Little cast-off feature, you can remove part of her pajama shirt, kind of pointless.
Plus a nasty gap between her stomach and her top.
Now as I mentioned for a 2004 figure she’s pretty good. You can’t compare her to the quality of Good Smile, Max Factory, Alter, Megahouse, or Kotobukiya figures now since they all have upped their quality over the years. My only complaint is that the paint on her legs is very shiny and very glossy, the rest of her is great but her legs are so very glossy it’s distracting. There is a noticeable gap in her shirt but I can live with it and her legs have some seam lines. Other than that her eyes are so very cute, her hair and her green clips are very nicely done, it’s a cute pose and nicely sculpted. The only other Chara-Ani figure I have that I can compared her to is a Ren figure from Dears I bought on impulse a few years back, not the best figure and compared to that figure, Yuna is wonderful. But I don’t know much of Chara-Ani’s work so I can’t really say much.

Oh that’s a rare figure and a pretty well made some as you mentioned since it’s dated 2004. Agreed with the shiny legs but the cute expression more than makes up for the small deficiency
Gratz on another rare acquisition!

I didn’t realize they made a figure of her either. I encountered Maburaho a few series into the true beginning of my anime addiction and was underwhelmed by it. I did like the look of Yuna though. I agree that gap she has when her PJ middle is on is real big. Personally I’d display it without it just to avoid showing that gap.
