Sometimes I miss out on the first release of figures, then what happens? I cry and cry and cry and wish I hadn’t missed out on that figure. I beg people who have that figure to sell it to me. I didn’t bother getting Manami since when she was released back in ’07 i was still buying figures based on characters i knew and loved. I had yet to see Manabi Straight so i skipped out on Manami. Then a few months later after she was sold out I watched the entire series and then cried myself to sleep at night because i missed out this this beauty.
I was very lucky to catch her on Hobby Search in the Restock section of the site. I snagged her up immediately since it’s been impossible to find her!
This energetic pose, just exuded happiness and brings me back to the feeling I got when I saw the series.
I love the bright colors, her cute pink hair with the white refection line. A nice touch since that’s how the show was animated.

The base is totally awesome, with her scooter over the water. I at first was a bit apprehensive with the stand but the metal pins keep it in perfectly!
I just adore her face! The overall quality of Manami is just so amazing, I have no complaints about her at all.

Manami is officially one of my most favorite figures. It’s hard for me to choose 1 figure to say as my favorite, but in a top ten with no list with no actual value among those ten of which I love most Manami would be in for sure! She is just about perfect, the pose, and sculpt just exudes confidence and that Genki-ness that is Amamiya Manami! Her paint is perfect with no hiccups, there is no noticable seam lines. Just pure perfection from Good Smile Company. Figures like this are a main reason why I buy figures and why keep collecting them after so many years. If you don’t have her, you must own her.

Yes, yes I totally agree with you and ended with a similar experience. I watched Manabi Straight long after it aired so I didn’t even knew about this one. Once I did how did I crave Manabi, it might have taken me 3 tries but I got my hands on her. Yup, must do a photoshot for her soon.

I could never get into Manabi Straight. I’m not sure what it was…the show just felt like soulless moe fluff to me. This figure, however, is really eye-catching and I regret missing out on her. Maybe I’ll pick her up from Amazon.jp (but their shipping is ARGH)
