The Steampunk Gathering at Anime Expo, organized by my best friend Fancy India was a success. It was such a blast and everyone who showed up had such amazing and intricate cosplays! I was worried at first that the gathering was going to be small and not have many people interested but it turned out to be pretty big and we got some awesome and amazing shots! Extra Special thanks to Russell, Fancy India’s brother, for taking these amazing shots, all of the pictures on my site having to do with Anime Expo were all taken by him, this kid is good!
Did it again, I didn’t get this guy’s name! Saw him at Anime LA ’09 and took tons of pics, loved his vest! At least I got some pictures with him this time! Next time I’ll get his name, unless he finds this then i can put a name to the face ^_~

Some awesome groups shots, KawaiiClare also looked amazing but there weren’t any single shots of her in her awesome cosplay, at least not on my camera.
I did take these, Loren and Russell having some Fisticuffs.
Just the most awesome and detailed props I’ve ever seen.

hard getting good group shots as well when people like to change poses from time to time.
Also Corset + low cut top = wow cleavage, so everyone had to see the ladies, i know it’s a lot to take in but they aren’t always out, i tend to keep the girls covered but they wanted to come out for pictures today.

As my first Gathering it was so awesome, it was also my first Steampunk cosplay and I really did enjoy it. Thanks again to Fancy India, she designed the outfit and we made it together! (more like i sat around and watched and went “OHH THAT’S PRETTY!”) This gathering for sure sealed the deal for me to do more Steampunk cosplays, it seems so simple at first but everyone’s cosplays are so intricate and so detailed. It’s mostly small things that people have that just so amazing, I almost wish we could dress like this daily! I think this is the first time I’ve seen that many steampunk cosplayers in one picture…
Usually, I see only 3 or 4 cosplays of that at a convention, nit that massive.
it was pretty huge, such an amazing turn out!

Nice gathering! I love seeing people in steampunk. I saw steampunk Ghostbusters at Comic Con a while back. Can’t wait to see if more pop up at Con this year.

they are super easy costumes to make, it’s just getting intricate designs that is a bit tricky
