Mikomicon ‘09 – Sheryl Nome

Went to Mikomicon a Sep. 19-20. Went for Traci Hines‘ and Makenai’s concert ended up also having a blast with my cosplay. I wasn’t planning on cosplaying but with someone convinced me to and it ended up being a blast as i got this photoshoot while I was there.

I was also convinced to enter into the Masquerade which I did last minute.

I ended up winning the Judges award during the Masquerade, which was such a surprise since my little “performance” was just a complete improv and a blur. I personally still can’t see that video without dying of embarrassment but in the end it was a fun experience and it makes me want to do more things within cosplay and Masquerades at Conventions!

There are plenty more pictures where these came from here at DBDARKROOM.com I had such an awesome time with you guys, thanks again for taking my picture! It makes cosplaying so much more fun when other people appreciate teh hard work that goes into making our cosplays! Also don’t forget to check out the newly revamped CosplayCute.com where the majority of my cosplay related posts will be migrating to! Very nice shots. Love the striped shadow amidst the trees.

Nice work on the blue eyeliner and what I assume are coloured contact-lenses.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

yes contacts, my eyes are naturally brown

I can’t stand seeing videos of myself. It also drives me crazy to hear my voice on a video, it’s not that my voice is ugly but it just sounds SO DIFFERENT from how I hear it when I speak. Feels surreal.

it’s so weird to see myself in videos but i’ve gotten used to hearing my voice but this video was embarrassing since i had nothing planned as well

I don’t perform well on the fly myself (when it comes to speeches at least). I always need preparation time if I’m going to get up in front of people and do anything.

    Dancing Queen Reply:

the thing it proves to me this time is that masquerades are fun to participate in, but have things planned out next time

wicked costume. where does it rank in your cosplay arsenal…

you’ve got to wear it to anime ex next year. i’m flying in from orlando, fl to the biggest con in the US, and that’ll be the only way i’ll recognize you. if you can…bop benu on the head for me. ‘where is anime-gen….’ lol

this so far is my favorite cosplay that i have made, but with some of the cosplays we have planned for a few upcoming cons it might surpass this one eventually
