I haven't been a fan of Yamato's work for quite some time. When I first started collecting figures they were more readily available and I owned a few but after I started finding better quality pieces I sold them all since they were so horrible. I haven't bought a Yamato figure in so many years but recently… [more]
One of the awesome things I love about Etsy is fniding other talented people who make amazing things you end up buying. One thing I spotted was this adorable dress for a Dollfie Dream. But Alas since Yoko is such a busty girl it's hard to find outfits that fit her and I almost passed. That was until… [more]
Going to already warn you this is a very picture heavy post. Over 100+ pictures but really not as many as I wish I took. We left LAX at 12:42pm on Tuesday the 20th of March. Only to arrive in Japan 12 hours later Wednesday the 21st of March at 4:30pm. We lost a whole day on the flight but the flight… [more]

I have so many ideaas for new plushies to make, but orders come first so if there is a character you'd like then make that custom order! Of course this time it's the adorable Kagamine… [more]
I said I’d do my best to continue updating you guys with new figures! Again more with the Loaned Figure series. Next up is another Kotobukiya Beauty Uesugi Kenshin from The Visual Novel Sengoku Rance.
Uesugi is for sure one of those figures that I had passed on but once I saw out of the box regretted immediately not getting her when she was originally released.
Such a lovely face, and big blue eyes that draw you in, it was hard not just stare at her. If I owned her I know she’d be sitting on my desk, she’s just too pretty to not want to always look at her.
Love her flowing hair, I’m not usually a fan of the way Kotobukiya does of hair but it works so well with Uesugi here.
She comes with a pointy hat, I’m not exactly sure what it is but I’m torn between the hat. I love and hate it at the same time.
I hate the hat since it draws too much attention away from her beautiful face and lovely dress.
It was pouring rain this past weekend, but that didn’t stop me from doing an outdoor shoot with this figure who really deserved having her own backdrop.
Luckily water doesn’t damage figures, but you gotta be sure to clean them up after wards or you can get water spots that are hard to remove later.
Now without the hat, it seems that there is something missing from her head. So I tend to prefer the hat but at the same time I wish it weren’t at such a dramatic point.
You can switch out her bow for a smaller bow as well, but I felt it was lacking and only did pictures with the big bow and her hat.
Not many full body shots, that’s my fault for not realizing they were blurry until way later in post production of of Photo Shoot. She comes with a small Diamond shaped base that doesn’t distract from her at all. It’s in a transparent Dark blue and fits well with her, It’s a bit plain but overall does it’s job well.
Uesugi is just an overall stunning figure, I’ve got plenty more figures that I reviewed that are coming, but Uesugi is hands down one of the big surprises and favorites of this past weekends figures. I was blown away by how amazing she was in person and know that out of all the figures I got to see she is one I must get my hands on one day!

The water drops really add to the scene. Makes it look like she just ran through a forest in the rain. Good shoot.
thanks, it’s exactly what i was going for, when i show you later where i took the pictures you’ll never believe it!
This figure does have some nice details. I like how you were able to do the water without making “puddles” in the dress creases. I am not all that into the pointy hat either.
Nice set of shots and review – thx
It was pouring rain but i did my best to make sure she wasn’t bombarded with water
The figure is nice. My brother got it when we went to Japan a couple years ago. Although the water drops on it is nice, initially I thought it was excess pvc material on it ^^;;. I think they could have made the face a little less wide though. Ya, figures are resistant to rain though I wouldn’t take out a figure out into the rain b/c of the different areas the rain can get into that would be hard to dry, like in between hair or cracks in different areas of the figure.
Also, in some areas rain can be slightly acidic and can damage the figures if left wet for too long
Yay, Thanks for reviewing her, and I loved the outdoor background for this figurine.
As far as the head accessories, I do liked the Ribbon instead, it seems to be flowing along with her hair as her pose is that she turned around like that ^^
hey again, no problem! Thanks for lending her to me!
Never seen that show but I do like their designs and the hat is just part of the charm! I can say I’m a fan of the designs though.
To my understanding it’s from a Visual Novel so i haven’t seen anything that she’s from, but i love her face and her vibrant eyes!
I’ve always thought this character has an interesting design, but I think another figure company could have made her look better. If I remember right did Griffon make a figure of her? That might have been the one I preferred but it was a bit too ecchi for my collection.
That seems to be the case often times with kotobukiya
This is a wonderful figure. I love anything related to swords and samurai, and all the figures I own are female swordsmen. This figure would definitely go great with my collection!
