Nanoha’s New Eyes Plus Dresses from BJD Atelier

It's been a while since I've posted anything on here. I've been getting a lot of questions as to whether or not I'd keep this site as I'll be working with GSC now. I'll still post here from time to time, but lately my time has been taken up by work so it won't be as often sadly. But last night I got… [more]

[Sega] 5th Anniversary Yoko Review

Did you know I like Yoko from Gurren Lagann? Well I do! I own about 28 Yoko figures and am still missing only one to complete my collection of all the Scaled PVCs of Yoko. This is the latest one that has been released for Gurren Lagann's 5th Year Anniversary.Of course I'm partially biased when it… [more]

My Otaku Room – 2012!

Haven't shown off my updated room, not much has changed other than, of course more figures! There have been so many more figures since the last update. I decided to group all my Black Rock Shooter figures together, I feel they look better together than separated around the room.I've gotten so many… [more]

Delicious Bump Show w/ The Pillows

Should have promoted this earlier since I ended up having two extra tickets. A concert my buddies told me about we just HAD to go! I Love the Pillows, and I Love FLCL so of course this was just obvious that we needed to go and not miss them!
The concert was truly awesome and I regret not bringing my camera as i was told they weren’t allowed. Turns out they didn’t care and there were tons of people filming and taking pictures. So the onyl footage i have is from my own iPhone but it’s still pretty cool.

Lower the volume first! I was in the FRONT ROW! Right in the middle! I had said to everyone of my friends that somehow by the pillows started I would make it to the front, well I didn’t want to be pushing my way to the front so I waited when spaces were open and sneak in, but it everyone started pushing and I pretty much let them push me and finally I made it to the front! Not bad for my first real concert ever? Sadly I won’t be surprised if I cracked a rib of two, I’m super sore and my ribs are killing me from the constant pushing, either way it was still awesome!

The other bands were pretty good, Pop Chocolate came out first and they were cute but you could tell they were really nervous and no one was dancing or moving at all, which really must have made them feel bad but they were pretty good, especially near the end.

Then Monokuro came out and they were really awesome, unlike Pop Chocolate who was an all girl band, Monokuro was all guys and they had a really good stage presence about them. I had never heard of them before but I was bobbing my head to the music tons of times!

Then Noodles came out who I have to say I liked the best out of all the opening bands. An all girl band they had a really good presence and they were also pretty cute.  By the time they came out I had gotten to the front and it was pretty awesome.

This concert was amazing and I’m so sad it never occurred to me to offer the extra tickets here beforehand! I tried to promote them on Twitter and Facebook but I guess there were no takers for this amazing concert! You all missed out!

I didn’t think of saying anything since we only recently had people cancel on us. My boyfriend had a ticket for himself but he had to move to Seattle for work and couldn’t make it for the concert and a friend also bailed on us last minute so two extra tickets. I think next time i know of a small venue concert like that i’ll promote it first on my site for everyone who might wanna make it down too!

As with many, I got to know The Pillows when I first watched FLCL. It’s easy to get blown away by the soundtrack, even more if it’s one of the first animes you’ve seen.

I remember listening to them a lot when I went to Italy for a month of training, about two years ago. They really got me going 100 miles an hour.

Wish I could have gone, they were great at Anime Boston 2008. Although I saw them from the balcony in the main events hall, and would have loved to see them front row like you got to. Before that concert, I went and grabbed their 2007 release “Wake Up! Wake Up! Wake Up!” which I’ve grown to love even more than their FLCL tunes. Definitely a talented band, and I listen to a good amount of J-rock (NICO Touches The Walls, Flow, Veltpunch, Ellegarden, The Hiatus, Asian Kung Fu Generation, L’Arc en Ciel, Versailles, and more) If you want to find any of that music you can download most of it from japanesemusicdream.wordpress.com.

Anyways, glad you enjoyed the show, and the pushing at a Pillows show? Mere child’s play compared to the pushing and moshing I’ve experienced at the numerous metal shows I’ve been to.
